Popped in here for lunch with a friend and loved it. We shared a rigatoni pasta dish and pork belly, salad and goats cheese and it was extremely good value. The house wine is unusual (verdelho) and very well priced so I will definitely return. Recommended.

One of the best Italian place in Sydney. The food is to die for, the only downgrade is the service.

I had one of my all time best meal moments last Sunday at Fourth Village. Tossing up between the ricotta hotcakes and mushrooms on toast the lovely waiter suggested the mushrooms and oh, am I glad he did. My mouth waters at the simple reminder if the occasion. Luckily the kids had the hotcakes so I still sampled them and my husband oh so typically ordered the big breakfast which we said was "one of the best" and this says a lot seeing it's his breakfast of choice.
I am so pleased Fourth Village is our local as I can't wait to go back and order the mushrooms again this Sunday!

Until recently, my restaurant of choice when in Mosman for coffee, brunch or lunch with friends. After a brunch at 11am on Wednesday when we asked for another round of coffees at midday were asked to vacate the table despite the restaurant only being about 25% full. The senior staff was curt and rude. Had our next coffees next door which will now replace 4th village as our first choice for get togethers. Will not return.

I took my mother, who happens to suffer from parkinsons, and was impressed with the quality of service and the level of awareness of the staff. They were kind and gentle with my mum, but did not make a big deal of her lack of movement. This is a clear sign of quality waiting staff.
The food speaks for itself, and the price is reasonable considering the quality.
Many of the other comments have mentioned they were hurried. It is worth noting the place is very busy and has a high turnover over of patrons. I would say do not expect to be able to lounge around afterwards as there are plenty of others waiting to be seated. However, this only added to the atmosphere.

Went for Sunday morning breakfast, place was full. Ordered 2 Cappuccinos, they were weak and milky. Ordered benedict eggs and bruschetta for breakfast, hopefully food is beeter...wrong.
Benedict eggs, Poached eggs were well over cooked, looked around at other tables and all seemed to be the same. Came with 2 pieces of bread, one slightly toasted one not at all. Very disappointing.
Bruschetta, just chunks of the ingredients thrown on a plate, no dressing what so ever, not even oil, all the fancy infused oils they have on display and couldn´t even be bothered to open one up and dress the salad with it...very bland and boring.
And in the end the waitress asked how was it? we replied not very good at all, she replied...ah that´s good. Don´t believe the hype, this place is all about turnover not good food.

Same time is destiny, or fate, that walking on the street you capture a lost smell of food. So I looked for the provenience and I found Fourth Village Providore. I will not start to tell the wonderful experience, but I will just say that if you are looking for real Italian food, the one lost long time ago' this is the place. Thanks Fourth Village.

This restaurant is really puzzling. It is always packed but the staff treat the patrons very rudely.
From the moment you sit down and are made to feel grateful that you have a table, you are rushed so that the chairs never get cold. If you need a table for 3, yet one of the guests is not there, you either won't be given a table at all until all are present or you are given a table for 2 only and then there is a problem when the 3rd guest arrives.
The food at lunch has far more offerings than the much more expensive evening menu. However, the restaurant offers pork belly which comes as a thin slice of rolled pork shoulder as you would buy in a deli. Definitely, not pork belly!
The house wines are great so it is not worth BYOing.
While this restaurant is constantly overflowing I am sure they will not care about any negative feedback. A shame. We will have to put up with the rude treatment or go elsewhere.

My friends, our children and I met for lunch at the Fourth Village in Mosman. With ipod touch and all manner of digital assistance to keep the children entertained we had hoped for a relaxing lunch. Unfortunately, our greeting on arrival on that cold winter Sydney day from the senior staff was less than warm. He insisted that we sit at a table which was still occupied by a couple drinking coffee, right beside a step, where the children could easily fall backwards.
We asked him why, when so many other tables were free. He said, "it is Friday we cannot give you a table at the rear on a Friday, it is just too busy". There were 8 other customers in the restaurant at the time. I would not recommend this restaurant do to the unfriendly welcome to anyone. If you have children stay well away of this restaurant they do not want your money.
The food was also disappointing. The salami board contained two tiny cubes of salami. What a disappointment.

After reading all these mixed reviews, I admit I was a tad nervous about going with my 10 friends last Saturday night. We wanted somewhere with good food, good atmosphere and of course, good value and boy we weren't disappointed! From the moment we walked in it was like we'd flown a thousand miles and walked into a restaurant in a small little Italian town. We sat back in the market amongst the oranges and bananas, which was definitely a highlight.
Our waiter couldn't have been nicer, when asked what he'd recommend (which I'm afraid to admit I always do) he was lovely and was right on the money with his suggestions! Our entrees were divine and our pizzas, light and crispy with beautiful fine ingredients, again just like you'd get in Italy. As we see the table next to ours receive their pizza our mouths start to salivate in anticipation.
Thankfully ours arrives minutes after and our lustful stares darted from our neighbours (sorry about that Katherine and Andrew). And dessert we could see other people enjoying beautiful cheese platters, however, who can go past traditional Italian gelato in an Italian restaurant?
So my lesson, not to believe everything you read all the time because I loved every part of our Fourth Village experience so much so I am going for breakfast tomorrow! Happy Days!
