This Pub is a great place if you're looking for some atmosphere. I've never eaten here but the music and the crowd are great value. The guy with the guitar on a Saturday night is fantastic. Great pub without all the typical inner city rubbish.

It was really surprised by the experience in here. Food was delivered unbelievably quickly, was hot and exactly as it was described on the menu. While not 5*, it was decent food and lots of it. Friday night has cheap cocktails $5 or $8 (can't remember how much exactly as I had a few!). Downstairs is a bit blokey, but generally it was pretty good.

Stay clear of here in the evening as there is a young bar girl who thinks she's from the Kyote Ugly film. She's rude and obnoxious; seeing is believing! When someone complained to her, she went and got the management. It's a shame as it’s a nice place with a good beer, but unfortunately they'll take your money and you'll not get a chance to enjoy your drink.

Unpretentious pub with good range of beers (inc Coopers Sparkling) decent pies and live Jazz on Sunday afternoons from 3.00 - Robber Dogs Jazz band with Majella (vocals). Big draw at the Rocks for local jazzers and tourists alike. As we came into Circular Quay on our very first day in Sydney ten years ago, this was the sound that drew us to the Rocks. And it still pulls them in.

Well!! It's a good place to go with your family; lots of friendly staff, food is just so great and quick.

What you love must is to sit in the veranda and have some good meal with few drinks. The pub just being one of the oldest pub in Sydney, you guys will find a good maintenance and clean place to roll.

The service is efficient. Whilst the lady at the food counter is friendly, the bloke seems incapable of smiling. Squires will set you back $5.30 for a scooner which is a bit pricey. Most other beers are $4.30. When it comes to the fish and chips, they are really awful. The batter is thick and heavy and I get the sense that the fish is probably of the "unknown and untraceable origin" variety. When I broke open both fish fillets, it spewed heaps of oil out all over the carpet.

The seafood basket is similarly gross. However, two mates of mine reckon the bangers-n-mash is really good. You decide. This pub has a nice warm atmosphere (relaxing ambience and service) but the food/ drinks are not nice thereby bringing the overall value for money down.

Rocked up here on a Friday night with my wife and found a nice little friendly pub. Everyone seemed to be having a good time though I have to say the singer on in the corner was possibly the worst I have ever heard, he absolutely butchered every song he sang. In the end that's what drove us out. I have to question why a singer was needed at all as it seemed more of a sit down and have a chat type of pub. The pub certainly emptied when he came on. Nevertheless I enjoyed the friendly atmosphere and the staff seemed helpful enough. There was no hint of trouble and the bouncers seemed down to earth and non threatening. Prices were fairly expensive for drinks... 2 straight vodkas and 1 imitation red bull $18 OUCH. Well worth a visit but just watch out for the singer!!

Great place to meet up, good atmosphere, one of the most friendly pubs in Sydney. The only pub in the centre of Sydney where the bouncers don't thrive on attitude!

No pretentions, few phonies, lot's of regulars, plenty of laughs, inexpensive beers and ales, talented staff, betting parlor in back, a few rooms above and a great view of the pedestrian traffic along Georges Street.

This is probably the least pretentious pub along this part of the Rocks. Not trying to be anything - it isn't and great to just lob up and chat with visitors, locals & bar staff. A little gem that should be included in any visit to the Rocks - just a classic pub - Beergod
