I bought a breakfast coupon and was there on a Saturday morning. Waitress was very accommodating as I tried to book for 10am, apparently they already had a booking at this time and requested that I come at 11am, I hadn't had breakfast yet so asked if I could come at 9:30am which she allowed. When I got there, the cafe smelt of old of cooking oil. I ordered the big breakfast and it came out after more than half hour wait, service was very slow even though there was only 2 other tables occupied.

The bacon and sausage looked and tasted old like it was cooked the day before, the poached egg was weird and a bit sour tasting, I could have done a better job making this dish at home. If you intend on coming to this place, don't order the big breakfast!

Forte Room Cafe, i made my first visit last Saturday. Have to say the service was great, very modernized theme & most importantly the food was fantastic. I personally would highly recommend everyone who visits Forte Room to try out the Chicken & Avocado Crepe accompanied by a Iced Coffee. Simply Beautiful. A friend of mine whom i was there with had a lamb souvlaki wrap - said and I quote "this is very different to the lamb souvlaki I normally have, this tastes really good". Based on these 2 dishes alone, I'd be happy to rank it against some of the top hotels & clubs food. Forte Room must be experience by all to appreciate what it has to offer.

I've only been in the afternoons, so I can't comment on the live music, evening ambience, etc. However, the people and the Calima coffee are wonderful. They need to broaden their range of cafe food and definitely get the freezers out of the customers' view. (Put them under the display cabinets, behind the counter!). Hopefully these things will change as they get more experience, because this has the potential to be a great cafe.

Forte Room's environment has a very warm and contemporary feel to it. It has both acoustic music and classy piano melody as well. Service there is friendly and the coffee there are amongst one of the best I ever had. I never like coffee that much but after drinking Forte Room's coffee I was converted. The strawberry as well as their salmon crepes is tasty and tender.

But most of all I like is their grill fish, a very different taste from most places. Their unique differences comparing most cafes around Liverpool is that they hold regular live performance and most of all great ambience, a perfect place to catch up with friends. If only there is more parking in front of the cafe.

I was at the grand opening of the cafe on 16th October. I'm not sure why the last post would say that it opened on the 30th, when it's been open for a few weeks now. On the opening night, the cafe had Hayley Jensen from Australian Idol perform. That was really awesome as I'm a huge fan of Hayley.

The coffee there is very nice, I must say for an area like Liverpool, this is really a gem. I had the strawberry crepes there and it was very soft and the caramel sauce was delicious. My friend ordered the Lemon Baked Cheesecake, it was very well presented and tasted lovely too.

The staff are very hospitable and I've been back every Saturday since then and there's been live music performances nearly every Sat. I try to log on to their facebook page to stay updated on who's performing on the Saturday night. Love the place, this is my new hang out joint now!

I went to this cafe today, 30th (saturday) and it was the grand opening, so not sure how the previous poster likes chilling out on saturday nights when they posted yesterday???? hmmmmm

Anyway, the menu has light meals, and coffee/dessert (which consists mostly of cheesecake). Prices are on the cheaper side for cafe food. We ordered the chicken/avocado/cheese crepe. We waited a very long time for this to come out and were starving by the time it did, the crepe was too thick and overall a bit dry. It had sweet chilli sauce on it which overtook the flavour towards the end, after that I asked for a coffee, eventually when it did come, froth was burnt, coffee was burnt, worst coffee I've tasted, the cheesecake we ordered was alright but still didn't come out with the coffee.

Waitress was friendly enough, but, unfortunately, the slow wait time for food and coffee/dessert and the disappointing coffee, I won't be going back.
