In a similar boat as other reviewers, I am sad to say that whilst I really really want FFS to be somewhere I can come regularly, it just always is a disappointment. Shame, the atmosphere and the staff are lovely and fun. Some of the food is actually quite good, such as dishes with the slow cooked beef or pork, but the portion sizes are a dealbreaker.
For two people you end up paying at least $35 a head (and that's when we were watching what we were spending) and since you are paying quite a bit for not a lot, you just feel let down. Really genuinely disappointed because Sydney needs great Mexican!

Booked a table on a Wednesday night. Service was great, really friendly, a few jokes, and suggested we take the left-overs home. We started with the pumpkin seed dip, which I was a little disappointed in, it was a lot wetter than I expected.
Drinks were great, I had the white wine sangria, and my husband tried the hortcha and a hot chocolate. Highlight for me, vegetarian fajitas! The sweet potato wasn't quite as cooked as I would have liked, but mountains and mountains of fillings! Very delicious.
Husband had bean enchiladas, and was most content. The atmosphere was great, happening but not too crowded. I think I'm a weeknight kind of person, I don't like it so loud I can't hear my dining partner. Would come again.

I have been there twice, first time great food and prompt service, second time I didn't even stay long enough to sit down. Started with my group (who had a booking) standing at the counter waiting to be acknowledged but instead we were ignored by the waitress as she was too busy having a tantrum which Involved throwing her pen and order book at the wall.
When the senior staff finally arrived he greeted us, we gave him our booking name and then he proceeded to ignore us and cash off the bills for numerous tables. When we finally had his attention he acknowledged that he had received our message about amending our booking but had not done anything about it. We were advised that we could take a seat at the table assigned (there were not enough chairs so one person would have to stand) and wait with no advice on whether we could be accommodated.
He was so incredibly rude and unhelpful that we left. It's a shame, great place but has a senior staff who should not be in the hospitality industry. And judging by the number of reviews that outline him as the problem, I cannot be the only one with this experience!

I love this place! Every time I have been here the food is always fresh, tasting and the portions are excellent. I think you really do get your moneys worth, I highly recommend the Flying Fajitas for 2. Saves a lot more than getting individual mains. We got the steak, prawn , snapper and chicken, All was tasty and cooked perfectly. Will be back very soon :)

Food was good, but I may say that the quantities were very small and a bit pricey though, compare to another Mexican restaurant close by. The service was Ok.

Some of the best mexican food in Sydney. I had some shredded pork tacos and my partner had some kind of chicken main, both were delicious and highly recommended.

This place has a great fit-out and generally quite attentive service so it is with regret that I say that the food is just not up to scratch. I've been here several times - always lured back by the nice candlelit tables and gregarious atmosphere - but I always leave a little disappointed.
$3 tacos night easily becomes a $30-35 a head meal (not expensive - but not $3) once you add all the extras that make them edible (salsa, cream, guacamole - everything is an extra cost) and the full priced meals are overpriced for the rather unsophisticated street food that they are. The guacamole packs little punch although the corn chips are absolutely divine.
Needless to say, the lovely staff and nice decor will continue to draw crowds but the place would be an absolute gem if it stepped up its game on the food-front.

Ordered the degustation menu as we weren't sure what dish to try. The food was quite bland and it wasn't as nice as we have thought it would be. The service was good, unfortunately, the food wasn't.

Got take away & was so bad so decided that maybe would be different if we actually dined in, well boy was I wrong - would never go back - food was horrible! Went with a group - the food did not taste fresh, was not enjoyable at all. Not typical mexican in my eyes.
