Food: very good for a cheap place. Very authentic and well made. Ingredients were very fresh.
Ambience: the lighting is a bit dark. Not a good thing when eating at a cheap (but good) place. Please increase the brightness! Compact fluorescent globes are cheap! At least the place is clean and reasonably maintained.
Service: very fast and efficient. I went on a busy day but still the food arrived in minutes.
Value: my har mee was < $10 and the bone soup was < $10, what more can you expect?

I surely don't know why this restaurant is so empty. Normally there are like around 6 people in there out of 40 possible seats whereas the restaurant next to it is always full even with people lining up outside waiting for people to finish. The pho here is $7 and it tastes great whereas the store its next to is $7.50. The bowl is just as big. I can't taste the difference. The place is even newer, less humid and cheaper. You should give it a try and see.

Great traditional vietnamese food, plenty to choose from and very fresh produce and meats. Restaurant itself isn't that flash but owners are very friendly and the waits aren't too bad for the food. Come here regularly for the tomato rice and lemon grass chili chicken! Brilliant value.

I've been back here a few times now and last night went back and noticed the change in sign-age on the walls. Gone are the home printed multi-langauge A4 paper with the restaurant favourites listed. In are the new professionally taken photographs of some great looking food and vibrant colours that just gave the place a nice lift from how I've seen it in the past. The new menus are also a nice addition to have.
The place was quite busy for a Thursday night, but the service was still friendly and quick. I had the spicy beef noodle soup for dinner, extra spicy, just how I like it, while the rest of the party enjoyed the Ipoh Hor Fun, a tasty and typical malaysian dish which tastes great with the home made sambal sauce courtesy of the restaurant manager and the Pho Beef Noodle Soup, a classic Vietnamese dish that's always a safe bet.
We also tried one of the herbal soups on the menu. A deep, intense and surprising sweet flavour. Very nice and something different on this restaurants menu that I've not noticed on many others before.
All in all, a nice little place with some tasty food. I'll definitely be back again when I'm in the area. I've been to a few of the restaurants in Flemington now. This one has to be one of the favourites in the area...

When it gets busy, it may take a while for the dishes to come out but they do apologise for the short wait. On busy times you may have to share a large table but that is communal style.
Why not try a bit of Vietnamese and a bit of Malaysian, the claypot Ba Kuh Teh (herbal pork soup) comes with rice and is complete meal itself, hainan chicken is great is good backup if you can't decide. The beef pho tastes different to other ones in the area, more aniseed and quite like it, did feel any effects of MSG so the broth must be genuine. Free tea is on every table.
Scan the menu on the walls for what's good or just ask the waiter, they seem friendly enough as this place is quite new. Avoid the normal meals times to avoid the queue but I think the wait is worth it.

Great food, love the Pho - $6.50 for a bowl, there's not too much better value Pho around the area. Also the stir fried rice noodles - Ipoh Hor Fun and Malaysian Char Kway Teoh are a treat. Can get pretty busy during lunch times as the area is full of shoppers out for Asian groceries or finished up at Flemington markets. Overall great value and staff are friendly.

Came here one weekend to try this relatively new restaurant on the block. This area gets quite busy on the weekends, being in close proximity to the fresh produce/Paddy’s markets, so we were pleased to have gotten a table for 2 in not too long.
Ordered the beef noodle soup for $6.50 on its own (although was tempted by the set which included crispy chicken at $11.50). The misses ordered the char kwey teow (stir-fried noodle) at $9.00.
Beef noodle soup had a real, intense beef flavour – thin slices of raw beef cooked in no time in the hot broth. The misses’ noodles had chicken, prawns, slices of fish cake, bean sprouts and garlic chives – fried through with the thick, flat rice noodles. Added chilli gave it a bit of a kick so the noodles got polished off in no time.
We were initially a bit confused by the addition of the char kwey teow (and other Malay dishes) on a mostly Vietnamese/Chinese menu, but owner/manager Hong later explained that her husband, the chef, is Chinese/Vietnamese, and she herself is Chinese/Malaysian, hence the Malaysian dishes.
Not your fancy restaurant by any means – no-nonsense, plain printed menus with additional menu items printed on coloured paper dotting the restaurant walls. But given most people just want a quick, value-for-money, good feed, who needs fancy when 2 people can eat for just over $15, inclusive of free hot, chinese tea? Thanks Hong, we’ll be back to try the Ipoh hor fun.
