Fishermans Cove is a family run business who first opened its doors in October 2006.
Located in the heart of Kirribilli right next to Milsons point station, we have strived to provide the highest quality of food and service for our regular and new customers.
Originally just a seafood take-away, recent expansions have seen us now selling roast chickens, a selection of carved meats, vegetables and an extended salad range. As the business gets stronger, the variety in great tasting food has been steadily increasing, so come back for something new!

I thought this place was amazing. We got the fish and chips plus the beef burger with the lot. Both were so amazing and, unfortunately, we had to throw away a bit as there was too much food. The owners were really great chatting away with us while we waited then we went down to under the bridge and enjoyed the food with the beautiful view of sydney harbour. Am definitely going back!

Got the Fish and Chips on the recommendation of the owner. Turned out to be the best I've had in a long time. Quite a large selection of other things so I will be back to taste the rest. Place could have used a new coat of paint or a clean up but the food and value made up for the average ambience.

After a long walk over the harbour bridge, I was after something to eat and drink so came to Fishermans Cove since it is right at the entranceway to the harbour bridge walk. As a foreigner, I was a bit unsure of what to order since the menu is quite different from back home (US). I asked the gentleman there what he recommends and was told that the traditional fish and chips was the most popular. I ordered the fish and chips and a salad from quite a large range and waited.
During the waiting time, the owner started to chat with me then proceeded to give me a full history of the area while sharing a joke about an experience he had in my country. This was quite a pleasant experience since it made the wait time disappear and I got to learn a bit about the area at the same time.
After receiving my meal, I walked around the corner and sat under the harbour bridge with stunning views of the opera house. The food itself was delicious. I have never had battered fish that was so crispy and the chips were thick cut and a very nice change from traditional thin fries. The salad was fresh and satisfying. The only complaint I have about the food is that the serving was too generous, though I'm sure the seagulls did enjoy the extra chips that I could not finish.
I would recommend this place to all travellers who make the beautiful walk over the harbour bridge on your trip to Sydney.

I was disappointed this afternoon, when I had to wait for 2 young staff to serve me. They were both occupied viewing what was on the mobile phone screen. When the female staff approached me, I said to this employee, are you ready?. Then I ordered. I did enjoy my meal, but I will not be eating at the Fishermans Cove ever and I will be sharing this story to over 300 bus drivers I work with.

Biggest rip off on the North Shore. I was in a rush and went it to pick up some stuff for my pregnant wife. The owner/manager himself recommended the Swordfish. It said $16 for the fish, salad and chips. I ordered just the fish and salad and was still charged $16. I still thought that must be because the fish is fresh and perfectly grilled.
I got the food all wrapped up, and drove off. I hand it to my wife, who is starving. She opens it and sees this tiny fillet of old fish, a dry lemon piece and some garden salad that looked like it was defrosted about a week back and suddenly discovered! The piece looks like like leftovers or something they found behind the kitchen counter!
Thinking they made a mistake I took the food back and was treated quite rudely and told that it is a fillet. With that the Owner just walked off! The board didn't say fillet and having bought the same item in numerous stores on the North Shore this was a shocker! I actually told the shopkeeper that he could keep his food and walked off.
If you have spare cash, don't care about the quality of food, service or ambience then this cess pool is for you! We will not set foot in this place ever again, nor will we let anyone we know go there.

The worst fish and chips I've ever had. My husband went to get it and I could smell it on the porch before I saw it, and not in a good way as it smelled of unfresh fish.
We had a grilled swordfish, chips and salad and a grilled salmon, chips and roasted vegetables. Both pieces of fish were extremely dry. The salmon was very thin, had a layer of fat around it and was a tail piece so tasted even fishier on top of the unfresh taste. The chips were bad cuts (many small, end pieces), had many rotten brown and black bits and seemed to be twice fried (also tasted of unfresh fish).
The roasted veggies looked fine but tasted charred. I have no idea how this is possible as only the red capsicum had any brownish/blackish colour from roasting, but I couldn't eat them. The salad looked promising but had several brown and shrivelled pieces of lettuce and slimy (past their prime) pieces of capsicum. The piece of lemon was even dry and had brown off bits on it. I was initially disappointed by the prepackaged (from NZ) tartar sauce but after the quality of the rest of the meal, it was probably for the best.
Even my husband who has never met fish and chips he hasn't liked couldn't even finish half of his meal. Will never return.
