Probably my most favourite yum cha in Sydney in terms of speed of dishes coming out, quality of dishes, and price at the end. Never had dinner there though, but we've been going to yum cha here regularly for a year now, at least twice a month.

My boyfriend and I went to dinner here tonight and it was horrible! We got there and the woman at the desk pointed to a table, told us to sit then threw the menus on the table. No hello or anything. We were right at the front where all the rubbish and plates are so it was very noisy. Waiters are extremely rude. One dish was honey chicken, was very little chicken, only honey batter! Such a waste of money. Will never go back! Will tell all my friends not to go! I couldn't wait to leave! Worst dining experience of my life! So rude!

I went to eat dinner there, got a table of 3 people, turned up at 6.45pm, ordered vermicelli clay pot xo crabs not long after and waited over "55 minutes" for our food! Other tables that ordered after us got the same dish first on their table. Some waiters are nice & some are really really rude! The lady who does the billing for every table is horrible & rude! I asked her for some assistance & she showed me her hand! They are not friendly & should really learn what hospitality is all about. I eat at this restaurant quite regularly with my "chinese family" but I think the fact that I didn't order in Chinese myself I received 2nd rate service! Absolutely disgusting, they shouldn't operate a restaurant if they hate serving!

Food is okay, decent however prices are fairly expensive. Some staff are quite over attentive and others very lovely. Would I come back? Eh I don't know, most unlikely.

6 of us ate at the restaurant last night, the food was very nice, but the service is the worst I have ever got. These old men waiter do not even smile to us. We are the first customers last night, and they are keeping make lots noise there.

3 of us ate at the restaurant last night, we ordered a 'small' lobster w noodles.
When we asked for the bill at the end of the time, the cost of the lobster was @ $88/pound, the lobster weighted in at 2.3 pounds. we were all shocked! for about 1 Kg of lobster, it set us back $220. We dine out very frequently but on this occasion, we very much felt over-charged!

I won't recommend to have lobster at this restaurant in future.

My husband and I love this yum cha. We regularly eat here and are always very happy with the food and service. The sui mai's are the best in Sydney which is why we keep going back. If you know your yum cha you will not be disappointed by this experience.

Was recommended and went with friends to Carlingford especially for yum cha on a Saturday. There was no wait, and yum cha came flowing by pretty quickly. Their dumplings were amazing, its very juicy and fully filled up. There was this one dish where you're suppose to dip a fried dumpling into a soup, was so good made my boyfriend ate my half too.

We had a whole lot to eat, 3 girls 2 guys and we split the bill $15 each, my jaws dropped because it was a really full on meal! I'd like to go back more often but I live too far, highly recommends a good yum cha for anyone interested!

The taste of the food overall was pretty good. We ordered the crab in a pot with vermicilli (delicious). While there was a lot of vermicelli, there didn't appear to be a lot of crab meat.

It wasn't a busy night and the delivery of food from the kitchen was poor, the fish came out first (again quite tasty) and then very soon after that, the crab came out, not very smart for a chinese restaurant that has been in Carlingford for quite some time.

Service was also quite poor as we had to ask for tea refills a number of times and it was quite slow, even though the restaurant was half empty. If they can fix their service and a few other things, the taste of the food is worth going.

Excellent food. Excellent price e.g. a medium size is $4, large size is $4.5. Chefs are Hong Kong style so it is authentic. Much better than the one at the village. They microwave food and sell plates of variety dim sum = not fresh.
