This place is no longer called BBQ King so I'm not sure if it is under new management. We decided to go for the $47 set menu for two. The only thing BBQ'd was the pork. Everything else was condiments. The food was OK. Was full but not satisfied. Will not be going back! The wait staff were friendly though.
The hostess is great! she asks all the right questions and marinates the meat to individual taste (salt, chili, etc). Very cheap, only $23 per head. You can tend to overeat and it is a buffet. Fresh ingredients but you can tell that there is quite a few things which come straight out of a frozen bag. However, still good food, great hangover cure!
I love this place! The meat that you cook yourself is always so flavoursome and tender and the little side dishes you get with the meat is great for variety and flavour. I am addicted to their soy and chilli sauce... MMMMMMM. The fried rice is a little overpriced though and you don't get very much. The waiters even cook the meat for you! A great local restaurant. We go once a month.
Not a fancy joint but the banquet is quiet good and has a variety of BBQ meat to try. You will be contented at the end. Excellent and friendly service. Definitely recommend it for a good local restaurant in the area.
A no frills Korean restaurant where the banquet menu at $23/head is sufficient in variety and quantity - just. One should not expect cutting edge cuisine - but rather, simply marinateand wholesome dishes that leave you contented.
I have eaten here many times and have always enjoyed the food and value. It is a very simple place, nothing fancy. However, the most important thing to me is the food. We keep going back.
We absolutely love BBQ King at Epping. We dine there very regularly as the food is always fresh and delicious. The staff are super friendly and always greet their customers very warmly. We highly recommend it. Very affordable.
It is four years since we dined here at our first meeting. Since then we have dined at a a range of restaurants on the North Shore and so have a good basis for comparison. We had the banquet with cooking at the table and found it once again very good, both for food, service and value.
You have got to be kidding! This was one of the worst eating experiences of my life. I'm married to a Korean and love Korean food but this was a disgrace. Terrible service, over priced food, small servings and no atmosphere whatsoever. We rely on the reviews in Eatability and the last two highly rated restaurants have been terrible. Disappointing!
