Went there with my girlfriend with the booking, there were another couple before us which didn't have bookings, old man greeted them nicely take them to the seat.
When it comes to us, this man's attitude changed in a sudden, he checked the booking, and told me that we are only here to have a quick bite, what the? I don't think it is the restaurants call to decide how long I am going to stay there, anyway, ordered the food, and it was average.

At the end of the meal we didn't finished the beer that we've ordered and was taking the bottle out, one of their waitress came and said in a demanding tone that we are not allowed to take it out, I ask for the reason, and she couldn't answer, then she went for the senior staff who served us and the senior staff was telling us it is alright. What the? A restaurant with the poorest service that I've ever been, and will surely advertise their services to my friends!

We go here lots as our local pub/restaurant. As noted, it has noisy, fun pub type ambience not suited for a romantic night out. Mussels are worth the visit, the rest of the menu is a bit stodgy/heavy (typical Belgian fare). Beers may be pricy but they taste great, there is a great selection that beats our mass production local brews any day. Wednesday night has half price mussels, so dinner for two for $25. Amazing value so the beer is then quite affordable.

The food is the best part about this place. Everything else is a disappointment. Its very very noisy. There seem to be many drunk people loitering around the bar and the staff are dismissive. Its expensive. Not a good place for kids or families. Or anyone that has a bit of class. Yep the food is great, but its really more of a trashy yet dressed up pub.

We had an after work function here at it is a great spot. It's noisy and busy and the service is average but the beer selection and food, cheese mussels in particular all were very good. Somewhat pricey and not a romantic dinner spot in a million years but for a few beers and a decent meal with work colleagues or customers you know well very nice.

Went on Sat for lunch and the beer on tap was flat, both the Leffe Blonde and the Hoegaarden. When we asked about this, we were told that's the style of wheat beer. Since my companion and I have both been to Belgium and have drunk both Leffe and Hoegaarden on tap in this restaurant and the one on the city many times, we knew this was a pathetic line for a poorly poured and badly stored beer.

The manager replaced our beer with more flat beer, and, in the spirit of not wanting to ruin our lunch, we didn't complain further. But, we will never return, and feel that this restaurant is doing a disservice to Belgian Beer by not ensure that they service the best possible product. The food was decent, but not good enough for a return visit.

We were seated quickly as we made a booking, attended to straight away by very friendly staff. After ordering, our food came with in about 15 minutes. The steak was delicious and I don't really love steak but ate it all! The sizes of the meals were amazing; I have a big appetite and am usually left hungry but was very satisfied after my meal. Also I had a peach beer which was delicious though a little pricey. All in all I would definitely recommend it for a quick tasty meal and its large variety of beer. Only annoyance was it was very loud and a little cold if u are seated near the door!

I believe that restaurants should serve what is actually listed on the menu. The twice cooked pork belly (I know, all trendy places have this on their menus, what was I thinking) turned out to be a tough piece of shoulder of pork which proved nearly impossible to cut and eat. Stick to the mussels!

This is basic pub food given a Belgian twist. Contents of the tasting plate starter ranged from good (spicy Bloody Mary oyster shooters; terrine) to not so good (fried cheese balls: odd-tasting cheese). Mains were generous, but unremarkable and expensive. My mussels steamed in beer with vegetables came piled impressively high in a large black pot and were nicely cooked. Sporting a $25 price tag however, I couldn't help thinking how this dish could quickly and easily be replicated at home for a quarter of the price. My friend had the chicken vol au vents. Charmingly retro or disturbingly tacky, I'm not quite sure. Either way, again they seemed on the expensive side for what they were.

There's a wide selection of Belgian and European beers on offer, though they can get quite pricey. Beset with dark wood panelling and furniture and the walls adorned with nostalgic European bric-a-brac, the cafe is cosy and the style of food feels appropriate.

The staff were all exceptionally friendly and the service was excellent (I have not been here when it's really busy on a weekend). I would definitely come back to try more of the beers, and the food is right on the money if you're out for a night on the turps and feel like a change from the usual pub fare.

Yummy, Great beers, good vaule and mediocre service. However, are you there for the food, drink and atmosphere or are you there because of the service? My local watering hole.

This place is very bad. To start we booked for 7.30 but were left standing till almost 8.00, then we waited for a waitress, one came and took out orders, which we had to shout at her due to the fact the place was very very noisy. Then food came, it was very poor, my ribs were 4 ribs and a massive bone. When we had finished our meals we were left waiting and waiting for the dessert menu.

We virtually had to grab a waitress and ask for it, the dessert menu was sparse and uninspiring, so we asked for the bill, then that came and the money whisked away. Paying the bill is the best part of this place as unlike everything else it is done quickly. I won't be back ever .
