Great restaurant, food, service. Just a bit loud, but what can you expect when the place is constantly full. We are never disappointed going there and yet again looking forward to tonight's feed.

We had a similar experience to another reviewer. When we booked for my boyfriend's birthday we were assured that there would be plenty of food to go around however, it took a long time for the tapas to appear from the kitchen. Some people missed out on some dishes. I had to keep asking when the next dish was coming out and the service was very hit and miss. It was disappointing.

I've been to Encasa many times over the years and unfortunately I really feel that the quality of service and food are deteriorating. I won't be rushing back any time soon.

Been here a few times now with groups of varying sizes up to 16. So have picked from the menu and tried the banquets too. Food is always consistently good and tasty without being edgy, just good competent cooking of basic recipes.

Watch the sangria! It's wonderful and deadly after a few glasses. It's located in Pitt Street toward Central so a bit of a rundown part of town, lots of back-packers hanging around. The place itself is in need of brightening up with a touch of paint, as it's dark with aged furnishings.

Service has always been good and attentive. Value is superb, the banquet stopped all 16 of us and the individual serves are goodly portions. I notice my diary has me booked in for another banquet in 2 weeks, for 14 this time. Looking forward to it.

I have given scores of 7 across the board for food, service, value & ambience. I've been coming to Encasa for many many years. It serves reasonably OK tapas dishes (my friends say the pizzas are good but I have never tried them) - nice garlic mushrooms, nice chorizo, nice prawns, nothing outstanding just nice Spanish-style food at reasobnable prices.

All dishes that are perhaps becoming a little boring, tired & cliched now but still quite tasty. Service can be a little iffy sometimes it is very very good and at other (busier?) times it can be a bit surly.

Great night out. Food was excellent and such a great variety. Lots of fun and such great value. Recommened.

Stay away from this place if you expect good service. Had an early booking (6pm) for a special occasion (birthday). Service was slow and slack and at 7.30 when still eating we were approached by the manager/owner (a short lady with no customer service at all and very bad attitude) requesting us to leave because she needed the table for other clients. Yes, we were told to eat it up and get out of the premises because our time was expired.

Definitely we DO NOT recommend Encasa to anyone if you need time to chew and swallow and drink at your own pace because unfortunately Encasa management wants you to "hurry up and leave". A real "I don't care attitude" from the place. An extreme disappointing experience.

Food is ok. Service could be better but this place is overrated and overcrowded. I think the staff knows it which is why she doesn't really care. She spoiled our night, she absolutely lacks customer service skills, very arrogant and extremely rude.

Encasa is the ideal place to have a great Spanish meal. Great atmosphere, great service at a great price. The tapas is spectacular especially the potatoes and not to mention the garlic pizza, it leaves your mouth watering for more. Flavours are rich, just like Spanish food is supposed to be, this place is a must try for any occasion!

Eating for the set menu? Think again. I went here with friends last weekend for my birthday. They promised that the food would keep coming. Thinking that this was great and that all my guests would be full, I was shocked to find that the food they took out for 20 guests were so minimal!

There was 10 people one table and 10 on another, they only served 2 tapas per table, everyone just had one garlic bread each. Not to mention, we had to share 2 pizzas per table! Horrible. Thinking that food was still to come, I was shocked that it didn't. I had to ask several times for more tapas, garlic bread and pizzas to come out and when I did ask they were not happy at all. When asked for more pizzas because my guests were still hungry, she even asked are they going to eat it? Of course they would. We were sharing as a big group these small portions of food. Very disappointing.
