Encasa is a home away from home when it comes to good food. It's simple dining hall is reminiscent of Spanish comedors with its dark wooden furnishings and wall decorations. The communal tables spread out decently in the restaurant emphasize Spain's culture of dining in groups, especially of family-get-togethers. While the musical instruments on their walls symbolize the Spaniard's love for music, gaiety, and festivities over food and wine.
Encasa offers a glimpse to everything Spain is actually known for. Their food includes favourite dishes of tapas, pizzas, and pastas. Pizzas come as either a traditional and gourmet assortment suitable for any palate and diets, including vegetarian. While mains include steaks and paella. They also have a number of set menus to choose from that favour big groups. Encasa's delish food could be relished in house or brought home as takeaways. They, too, serve these along with their offering of Australian and South American wine for numerous catering needs such as parties and functions.

Me and my close friends had dinner on 21 December 2013 8pm booking. A table of 10 people 4 people arrived first at 8pm while the rest arrived around 845. Dinner was average. The 4 people that arrived ordered a couple of small dishes and water nothing else. Then when rest of the group arrived.. we ordered everything else.
One of the waiter spilt pasta sauce all over one of the girl's hair in the group... no biggie she didn't mind even though it was all over her hair and neck... then comes the bill and we checked at the bill, there were multiple items being charged that we didn't order we advised the waited that we did not order a dish with octopus and we didn't order an extra 2 jugs or sangria...
The waiter at first said we ordered everything on there then.. eventually realized that we didn't order the extra dish then removed the items but they said that we ordered the two jugs sangrias, they called the manager, and the manager asked us If we are sure that we didn't order it and he would look into the cameras and we said yes check the cameras as we didn't order it. He then later returned 20 min later saying that in the system we ordered the sangria at 645pm we then asked him did you check the camera, he didn't reply and then he abruptly said but its ok I'll just remove it from the bill.
We said no, we'll pay for it no problem, but you guys have obviously mistaken our order with the previous bill at that table. Eventually we just paid for the dinner with the items removed... and left and didn't argue because we didn't want to ruin the night (which was pretty much ruined already).
This is by far one of the most horrific incident of customer service I have encountered in Sydney... I mean they basically accused us of trying to get free food. This was utterly embarrassing. This restaurant has just lost 10 customer and these 10 customer will let their friends and family know of this experience. Thanks but no thanks Encasa...

Good value Banquet Tapas & Pizza set menu at $29.00/pp. Loads of food. Always like their tapas! Pizza is ok. Food may be slightly salty - but that just encourage you to drink more Sangria! The boys love the Creamy Blue Cheese Steak! It is a must order for them!

The lamb skewers were perfect. And the potatoes were incredible. One thing I should say is the staff may need to be trained more. Some don't really understand english. Apart from that the food is great.

The food was standard, I wouldn't go back there simply because the customer service wasn't provided. As others have commented on their lack of customer service, our group was rushed through the meals, plates were taken away with food left on them.

I have been going to Encasa for over ten years, have never been disappointed and in my opinion it is by far the best Spanish restaurant I have experienced so far. I make a point of going at least three times a year. The service is always efficient and friendly, tapas awesome and the Sangria rocks too.

Had a very bad experience here. Firstly they took our booking down wrong, and then they offered us a restricted 6.00-7.20 seating which we regretfully accepted.
We were pushed in to ordering as fast as we could, and the food came even faster. When we wanted to order our second jug of Sangria, the wait staff had to ask their boss if we could order since they were busy trying to rush us to finish.
When we received the second jug, the staff stood around us rushing us to drink so they could get us out the door. Even when we were waiting for our bill, the manager came up to us and asked us to leave. Absolutely the most shocking service I have ever experienced and will not be coming back. If I could give a 0 star for service and ambience I would.

Had the potatoes, lamb skewers and chorizo in cider. All were tasty and well cooked. Service was prompt, but our waitress tried to get us to order more than we really needed.

I eat here all the time and enjoy the food and the service. I would have to say that this is the best place for Spanish Tapas in Sydney that I have been to. I would highly recommend this restaurant and if your going there for the first time, try the patatas bravas, chrorizo and sizzling garlic prawns.

Went on Saturday night with a group of ten and had the set menu. Tapas was good but came out far too quickly , so fast that there wasn't enough room on the table to put the dishes ! So we told them to slow down , so we could enjoy the food . Servings are quite large so when it came to the paella as the main we left half of it. Food was generally too salty. Noisy so not the place for a romantic dinner. Upside is the price and BYO.
