I am lucky enough to of been a few times to encasa however my last visit has left a sour taste in my mouth.

Last visit was on a Saturday night with a group of 4 - we had made a prior booking however found ourselves seated next to the bar in the corner on plastic chairs.

The food was average and service was pretty poor, we often found ourselves waving to grab the waiters attention.

Ordered some jugs of Sangria, which I agree is overpriced and has little to no alcohol in it. To our displeasure, we sighted cockroaches wandering all over the bar, including the jugs of premade Sangria.

The place is obviously currently getting renovated, this is evident when making your way to the ladies bathroom, where there is two toilets however no cubicles surrounding these toilets.

Probably the only place in Sydney you will ever get to experience tandem peeing with your girlfriends.

Will I go back? Not in a hurry!

Ok, not a place to take someone out for a first (intimate) date (unless you both don't mind garlic and noisy place).

I put 5 for value, due to the use of two Entertainment book vouchers (there were 10 of us in a group). We had the tapas set menu. But, if we want to ask for more foods (on the set menu, e.g. more chorizos), we had to pay extra. Hmm, Sangria is a bit overprice (not strong enough and cost $19/jug). Must admit, the chorizos and patatas bravas were nice (hence, extra 1 star). Mussels were a bit "off".

I have been to many Spanish restaurants in Sydney.

Must say the Tapas served at Encasa is seriously good value for money. Some stand outs are the Meatballs, Chorizo, Patatas Bravas, Garlic Prawns, Stuffed Mushrooms. I have been there many many times. And have always had a good time with my friends. The service is ok nothing much to brag about.

Do not try their Paella, You will not like it. Lacks flavour and texture and no where close to what Paella should taste like. Stick to the Tapas and drinks and you will have a good time at Encasa.

Great location. Great food. My favorites sizzling garlic mushroom with plain bread rolls, seafood paella, sangria, the fried potato with sweet chilli and garlic mayo.

The gourmet pizzas are great in size and in value. Very tasty and the meat pizzas are very meaty. The seafood pizzas are abundant of seafood crustaceans.
I am not a fan of pastas as they're all generally too creamy for me. Keen on going again for any special occasion.

Have been to Encasa numerous times over the years - they have a decent variety of food and the place is lively (but sometimes it can get quite loud). But my friends and I've noticed that a couple of times we've had a couple of things added to our bill that we didn't order.

The paella and croquettes were really good! A must try at this place. Relaxed and laid back atmosphere great for couples and even better for large groups of friends.

The food is delicious at Encasa, it gets very busy and a booking is recommended for groups. Love their patatas bravas, sangria and garlic prawns and mushrooms, but their main size for the garlic prawns was a bit overpriced for how many prawns you actually get.

Went for the $29 set menu. This included mushroom tapas, chorizo tapas, 2 salads, a potato dish, a seafood tapas, pizzas etc. The amount of food is plentiful and everything is shared. I really loved the potato dish! The place is clean and busy on a Friday night - lively atmosphere.

Love this restaurant! I went to Encasa for my birthday a few years ago and can't get enough of this place! The patatas bravas is delicious and I could honestly eat it as a main meal...Yummo!

I also went here for my sister's bday and because we were a large group all the food was cooked and served with precision timing so all we had to worry about was eating and drinking the fantastic delux sangria. I highly recommend this place to all my friends and can't wait to go back!

Nice and loud! Reminds me of lunch with my family. Great atmosphere. Very busy so remember to book ahead. I think it sums up everything a Spanish restaurant should be. They cater for all. Meat lovers and vegetarians alike. Superb sangria. Very sweet and easy to forget that there's alcohol. Love the patatas bravas and the BBQ chicken pizza. Mains are big and plentiful. Garlic bread to rave home about. Can't wait for my next visit!
