We had 'Peking Duck', which was very average (merely roast duck served 'Peking Duck' - style). The second course had very little meat on soggy noodles. The service is what you expect in a Chinese eatery: quick and basic, so that dinner for two lasted only 50 minutes. My pet hate: cheap wine glasses filled to the top. A Eden Valley Riesling (reasonably priced) deserves better than that, even in a Chinese Restaurant. This has been our first and last time, because there is a lot better to be had elsewhere.

Great Chinese, right in the heart of the city! the food is always second to none when we go here and for its location it seems like fairly good value. I heard the chef is from Golden Century Seafood, which is the best in Sydney.

My husband and I were so impressive with the top value chinese restaurant! We had Peking Duck as entry, Lobster in XO sauce (becoming my favarite now) and Lamb steak with pepper and salt as mains. Wonderful food and wonderful night for both of us. I would have no more comment but 'excellent place for chinese food'. Have highly recommended to my friends.

I've been here a number of times, the ambience was great. Top class Chinese food at reasonable prices. The lobster in XO sauce was pretty tasty with affordable price.

Fairly standard cantonese/aussie chinese cooking but better than most local chinese restaurants where you feel food is microwaved after leaving the freezer and tastes a bit bland. Restaurant was very clean and good value for money. If you have e-dine or similar discount cards even better.

Loved the emperor's choice! great chinese cuisine! We were a group of about 8 and the food was plenty and great tasting and pretty good value. We also got complimentary deep fried ice cream for the kids who were so excited as I never usually allow this for them. Notable dishes were the san choi bow, salt and pepper prawns, peking duck pancakes, steamed fish with ginger and shallots, it was all great. We will definitely be coming back here and not others, which is good but just isn't good value for us. Thanks.

Great service and lovely fresh food. I loved the Emperor's squid and the shredded duck meat soup, our kids were spoiled by the waiter as he chatted with them and then brought them out a deep fried icecream, at no cost. This was my sons' favourite restaurant of our 8 day stay in Sydney. Will come back for sure.

I've been here many times and I still go back with family, friends and colleagues. Group bookings was exceptionally great. I had to organized 21st, 50th for family members, farewell dinner for colleagues. Instead of coffee its a night out with a group of girls share thoughts, ideals, news. What more could I say?
