New owners 6 mths ago and I tell you don't go there, service is disappointing, if you can call it service. Ordered beef fajitas, lucky to see 5 pieces of beef in this dish full of onions and capsicums and Chicken Burrito, same here with finding chicken in that as well, not impressed at all and it is way overpriced on everything. Note: Jug of Sangria is $30 that is a ripoff.

Never been disappointed in the food here, love the enchiladas and quesadillas and at a reasonable price.

You get what you pay for and there are obviously enough bogans in Cronulla to keep this place going, sloppy tortilla's and lukewarm meat dishes let down a well decorated restaurant.

Went on a sat night in a group of about 15 and thought it was great. Amazing sangria, good shots, fun atmosphere. Shared 3 dishes with others and were all fresh and flavoursome. Will def be back. Can't wait to do the 'super big burito' eating challenge.

A group of us went for a birthday dinner recently. Started out ok as the atmosphere was fun and the sangria was delicious. However, it became very noisy and it was difficult to hold a conversation.

As for the food, it was terrible. I don't think you can really stuff up Mexican as everything is covered in melted cheese, salsa and sour cream. Not here... My quesadillas was bland and had hardly any chicken and not sure about any cheese at all inside. The whole thing lacked flavour which would have been solved with some salsa.

Everyone in our group made the same comments, food is screaming out for flavour eg salsa!

I love this place. The nacho's are awesome and the margharita's are great too.
A great place to hang around and have a few drinks after dinner.

The shaken lime margaritas are the Best I have ever had and trust me I'm a sucker for those! I had the chicken fajitas and I swear there was so much food in that meal that they couldn't put it on the plate, plus it was delicious.

The service was excellent as well, I was surprised by the fact that All the waitresses were from 'The Shire' and were not the usual backpackers that greeted us. They knew the menu well and catered to all our needs. We will definitely be going back to El Sol, it went down hill for a while but I'm so happy it's on the right track. My only issue is of the other patrons who act like they own the place up the top, but other than that El Sol is highly recommended by my family and friends. Keep it up!

We heard that there was a new chef at El Sol, and because we have always loved the vibe and the sangria, we thought we'd give the food another try. I'm so glad we did coz it was great. Plus the service has dramatically improved too, hallelujah!

I was a bit wary about the food due to reading the other reviews on this restaurant, as I did not pick it I didn't mention them to my friend who wanted to eat there. We went on a Sunday night and had a large table.

The ambience was great it was busy but this didn't disturb the service as there were enough waiters. I ordered a Beef Quesadilla, as I like to compare them to the Miranda's The Alamo restaurant. It was big and delicious! The price was adequate, the rice was flavour less but I didn't mind.

My friends had burritos and enchiladas and all reported that it was gd, one super burrito (I think that's the name) gives you a free drink or shot if you eat it all, my friend did and received a shot of very expensive tequilla, they have the best here and the sangria is awesome.

I highly recommend this restaurant! I loved authentic looking wall decorations, paintings and drawings I don't think I've been to a Mexican restaurant quite as authentic looking as this. I'm pretty sure you have to be 18 or over to eat here tho. I loved it, I will go bak again, perhaps, for their all you can eat tacos, they looked gd!

The 5.4 overall rating is too generous! The food was disgusting (not fresh at all) and not worth a single cent. The fact that it's next to a backpacker's accommodation might have something to do with the clientele (no judgement), but standards are not as high let's face it! Do not go there!
