We tried Eastbite tonight for the first time and were not disappointed. The service was great, the food absolutely fantastic. Note it is BYO though there is a modest charge for corkage per head. The mixed plate gives a good variety and was delicious, could have done with a bit more hummous but we just ordered another one on the side and that was heaps. We live in the St George area and used to make the trek to Surry Hills for our lebanese fix, we can happily say now that we have a local restaurant which is just as great as our Eastern suburbs favourite - less the drive. Will definitely be back.

Food is sensational. Fresh, great quality and absolutely delicious. Service is sensational. You're treated like family when dining there. Nothing is too much of a problem. Best Lebanese I have been to. It was recommended to me by a Lebanese friend. Easy to miss the first time looking and parking is a little hard but well worth it.

My partner and I ate here midweek (as part of our "Discover Bevo" foodie adventures).
We had the ladies fingers and fried eggplant for starters. The ladies fingers were absolutely to-die-for. I could have had a meal of them alone! Fried eggplant was nice too, a little too salty for my liking, but my partner loved the saltiness. We also had some yogurt and cucumber dip which was served with bread, a nice big serve and again, very yum.
For mains, my partner had some lamb shawarma. I had a nibble, and it had a really unique flavour, a hint of an Asian influence almost, but really nice nonetheless. I ordered the garlic chicken, and it didn't disappoint, succulent chicken dished up with that awesome Lebanese heart-attack-on-a-plate garlic sauce.
But it was also served on a bed of uniquely flavoured rice and what looked like noodles. Had a really zesty and spicy (not hot spicy) flavour. Quite unusual, but very more-ish. It's a cosy little restaurant that's not terrible in terms of ambience. In terms of cost, two mains, two starters, a dip and three drinks came to around $70.
Anyway, I loved the food so much that I was surprised when there was no entry for the restaurant on Eatability. So I had to submit the restaurant to ensure the rest of the world gets to taste this delicious food.
