This little beauty is one well kept secret! In my opinion the best Irish restaurant in Sydney. Food, service and decor is top notch. I had the barramundi with the most delish garlic spuds and our friends had the lamb cutlets with the mandatory soda bread (incredible)on the side. The food is well priced and lashings of it! Wait staff are always the most delightful Irish lasses. This is our third or fourth visit to Nellies and we'll be back again... tubby-sure!

While the guinness at times can be surprisingly good but most of the time its quite sour. The ambience is quite enthralling while you sit down and ponder at the funny little irish men running around the pub. The service I've always found very good, management top class. But the kitchen staff lacks imagination in what he produces, the food is tasteless, mediocre, quite expensive and you always leave the building wanting more.

I must admit food is great. When my partner and I first walked in it was very loud, lots of drunk irish men but the food was unbelievable, I would pay top dollar at a good restaurant, but the bangers and mash (what I had) was around $20 and absolutely luscious, will definitely go there again.

Agree with previous positive comments. Nice, well-priced restaurant with interesting, pretty decor. I will return.

Update: I went back in January 2008, and still like it. Very well priced food, not too fancy. Bill for 8 people was $50 pp for main meal and plenty of wine/beers each plus a tip. No need for entrees or dessert because good helpings and veggies included.

I had heard good things about the Print Room and wasn't disappointed! We had a group of 9 people and after numerous changes to numbers the staff were gracious and spot on with their service. The decor of the room is fantastic and reminds me of being in someone's drawing room. Pork chops was amazing, as was braised lamb. Wine list is well priced. Would definitely go back.

Went for a pre theatre dinner, food was good and service very friendly. Friends steak was cooked as requested and the chips are great, will return when we have more time to sample the entrees as well and the good wine list that is not overpriced.

Have eaten here a number of times and have yet to be disappointed. Starters which have particularly impressed include Pork Belly, Scallops and Ocean Trout. Outstanding mains include the Pork, Sirloin, Duck and of course the Sausage and Mash! Very friendly and efficient staff and an enjoyable experience each time. Would recommend without hesitation.

Quaint restaurant, request a balcony spot for a romantic evening for two. I decided on the sirloin after noting it came with the chips (have seen a plate of scrumptious looking chips go by earlier on). But alas, mine arrived under cooked and was very disappointed. Rest of meal was nice though. I will try it again but request the crisp chips!

The ambience is lovely especially sitting on the balcony on a warm summer's night. The wine list is extensive and the waitresses lovely and helpful. The starter of trout was beautiful but the main courses only average. My potato and goats cheese ravioli were swimming in oil and you couldn't taste the goats cheese at all. My partners pork was dry and over seasoned as was the side of mash that had so much white pepper it almost made you sneeze! But after reading all the other good reviews I will definitely give it another go, maybe the chef was only having a bad night.
