Probably not the best coffee place in Sydney but still a nice cafe to chill out in.

If you are hungry, order two meals as the serves are unbelievably small. You had to find the poached chicken and roast pumpkin in their salad. Sandwiches not as good they were, no filling, a bit rich for these prices at a cafe. The service was 'strange' for a place with not many menu items. The coffee is great as always and how they have laid out the place is fantastic.

A great cafe. Delicious food, priced right with excellent coffee and prompt, efficent service. It gets hot inside and the outside furniture is not that comfortable, but the overall feel is right. Worth supporting.

This place really is a great cafe. Great coffee, great food at very reasonable prices. Probably slightly cheaper than what you'd find in the surrounding cafes of sorry hills. Came away with a bill of $31 with two meals, one coffee and a smoothie. What I really came for though was their croque monsieur, and lets just say it did not disappoint! Creamy cheesy goodness that just oozes when you cut to it, not the most traditional croque monsieur but I absolutely love their take on it. Buzzing with staff and customers, even late in the afternoon. Oh and a $5 berry smoothie was scrumptious.

Great new addition to marrickville.

Great atmosphere where it is just you and your partner, or for a small group. However, it does take a little while to be seated. I waited about 10 minutes on a sunday at midday.

We ordered the poached chicken sandwich and pork belly sandwich, both had lovely flavours and was very tasty. It was $8.50 - so I didn't expect a big serve. I guess it was ok value for $8.50.

Service was friendly, however, they were incredibly busy and it took quite a while for our order to be taken and I had asked for a special side which was forgotten. I will be back.

Every time we go to Double Roasters, whether it is full to the brim with patrons, or empty, the service is consistent as is the coffee and the food.

Lovely place with great atmosphere and great coffee to boot, it's nice to see people who care and love their work!

Wow so surprised at the all the average reviews for this place. I had such a nice experience there. Service was pleasant, food was tasty and the place has a really nice feel to it. Value, maybe I got lucky with my orders but I can't think of anywhere else in Sydney you can get a homemade muffin for $3! Whoever made those raspberry/white chocolate muffins last weekend, absolute winner.

Thanks Double Roasters myself and my partner had a lovely Sunday morning brekkie with you.

Went there on a Saturday for breakfast. Very disappointed with the slow and not so professional service. Staff mixed up orders, having asked twice for coffees. Coffees size quite small but tasted ok, pork belly sandwich small and dry, walnut bread/jam/ricotta ridiculous size but cheap. Having asked 3 times for the bill when it wasn't so busy! Overall disappointing experience.

Went here for lunch on one of the rare warm days this summer and the place was a tad stuffy and we were sweating quite a bit.

Tried the poached chicken sandwich and the pork belly sandwich. Both were ok but at the time we arrived around 1:45pm they had run out of the mayo for the poached chicken and had to cook some more chicken, they had also run out of the mint and apple relish for the pork belly sandwich. As I said both sandwiches were ok but as they lacked some of the key ingredients it just wasn't right, in reality they were quite dry. There was no mention of the missing ingredients or a simple apology when it came to pay, obviously the staff weren't too concerned.

Coffee was ok, I had a flat white that had way too much crema on top although it had a good strong flavour. I actually had to go in search of the liquid by scraping the top off, come on guys that ain't no flat white, if you want to call yourselves coffee specialists you better improve on that.
