I went to this spot on Saturday night with family as per suggestions from friends. Upon arrival it is clear that this place is a diner/take-away style spot, the food is on point. The staff are very lovely and it is certainly worth the trip to waitara.

For all my brown brothers and sisters, the masala chai is proper home-style as well as the dosa's. After having their dosa you do not have that heavy/bloated sensation common with a potato-based dosa. It is quite light and very tasty. Nice work Dosa House.

Not happy with the quantity compared to other place and quality in my last two visits. When informed I was told to order something else next time. Well, there never be next time as they have lost not just one customer but many more as I won't recommend next time. Not cheap Dosas, it's same everywhere.

Response from Management:
We are surprised to read this.

If a menu item was not enough to meet the hunger, naturally, one would order
more of the same or something different. Our dosa sizes are standard and
traditional too.

About Quality, suffice it to say, we are 100% confident of the quality of our foods.

This was the funniest and most delicious meal ever! The owner/chef is the friendliest and most accommodating lady that I've met at the market before while eating her dosas there.

I must say Eating In is much better as the Dosa stays crisp and hot. There were only two of us in the shop (such bad decor - lack of.. but the food makes up for it) and the orders got all mixed up and even after confirming it again with her it was still all wrong. But we loved what we ate!

So if you don't mind the er.. "simplicity" of the decor and eating what you're given it's Awesome! I'm going back tonight with friends.

Dosa House is the only place in Sydney where we found the most authentic dosai and idli. It was just like going home to amma's cooking. Thank you aunty, you will see us practically every weekend.

I love this place. I love that the service is very friendly the food is awesome and I love the no frills dacour. Nothing flash or fancy here, just good food and service.

Great place for tasty, authentic South Indian favourites: Dosa and Idli. Made fresh in front of you. Best in Sydney.

People should stop complaining about the lack of ambience. This lady started this business only a short time ago, not everyone has $200k to spend on fittings when they start out. Some people are so ignorant. If you'd rather have good 'ambience' and disappointing food, go elsewhere.

This place is already one of my favorites... highly recommended, even if you haven't tried these dishes previously. She doesn't make them spicy hot unless you ask her to.

Opening hours are a bit patchy, as it's essentially a one woman show. Food and value are great so we'll keep trying even if the door sometimes says 'closed'.
