Eclectic, warm and decadent, DOME is the perfect place to unwind over a drink and enjoy a fabulous night out at one of Sydney’s most beautiful bars.
Decked out with a glamorous glass bar, gold ceiling, eighteenth-century French chandeliers, one-off pieces and a grand Baroque mural, DOME is all at once elegant and contemporary, quirky and alluring.
DOME has a cutting edge cocktail list with unique, bold flavours made with premium labels imported from around the globe. There is also a delicious tapas menu with food ranging from classic cocktail snacks to exotic Asian and Mediterranean-inspired dishes.
DOME Dining revolves around simplicity
Though we share Crown Street and our grater Surry Hills with the best chefs in the world our aim is not to display our brilliance and technique you encounter at these great establishments.
We simply grow our herbs in the terrace garden in level 3 to ensure the aromatics excite and flavor our food.
We use whatever produce we can from the family’s farm in the southern highlands and partner with quality local suppliers to source the other ingredients
Creating fresh, healthy, seasonal generous flavorsome food is what we do at D

It was a pleasant surprise. Did not expect to have such a delicious dinner. The food was just perfect! Taste was great and the quality of food was really good. It was a different atmosphere, smth that you would not expect from the restaurant if you were just passing by. The interior, food and of course music (jazz) made this dinner really special.

I piped in for a Thursday beverage, there was a great jazz band. I had a sit down feed of Atlantic salmon with a pea pure and rost spuds. Liked it and good value.
Had to get my next beer from the bar as the service Was a bit slow, however, the next few times I ordered and had delivered to my table.
Great night, Lots of fun and not too expensive.

Great Friday night at Burlesque, the bar was very crowded so drinks service was a little longer than you want but the bar staff were very friendly and made excellent cocktails. Loved the show and the whole atmosphere was fantastic! We will definitely be going back!

I went to Dome for the burlesque one Friday night in December, I didn't think the performers were that great admittedly, but felt it was the lack of ample performance space that let them down. So I gave them another go in January, to find the exact same performers, apart from one girl who I didn't see the last time I was there.
This time there was a female host who was swearing and was quite yobbo to put it bluntly, Burlesque is about style and the host definitely didn't emulate that. I also thought that burlesque involved a bit of dance, apart from the one new girl and another girl who flitted around with nothing more than a pair of shorts and a bra (it is about tease after all) the other two did nothing but just walk up and down the room. Its bit boring and not worth the money.
I go to a lot of burlesque around Sydney and nights that I pay $10-$20 for are way better value and don't have hosts that swear at the audience. The food was ok, but service was slow both times. Perhaps, a stage and a review of the swearing host? Best of luck.

I went to Dome bar a few weeks ago with the $39 voucher that my friend bought me for a birthday present, there were 3 of us. I was So impressed with the food (and I am quite a foodie), I thought the champagne was gorgeous, we had the 'Bella' cocktails which was the nicest cocktail I have ever had in Sydney, we ended up having 4 each!
The entertainment was fantastic, the girls are beautiful. It was so good that I will be back in a few weeks and I am bringing a whole group of girls with me. We were attracted by the voucher, but it now means that we know you exist so we will definitely be returning regularly. Thank you!

Visited the Dome Bar with a friend using the living Social Voucher (no Champagne). Purchased to try a new venue to listen to jazz and enjoy a drink and night out without huge crowds and pub noise. The Dome Bar proved to be just the venue that I have been looking for. I will return but would like a little more info on the other entertainment, nights and have not been able to find this on the website? Tapas that was included with voucher purchase was tasty and satisfying. Cocktails purchased were fine and as expected. Service at bar was slow by most standards however the floor staff were very obliging. Well done.

Went to see the Sydney Jazz collective last thursday, Love the live jazz and is a great space for this. We shared chorizo with mushroom and garlic, chicken and veg, middle eastern skewers, the john had a massive steak and I had a Thai beef salad.
The wine was bountiful and great value then we chugged a couple of cocktails. Had to wait a bit for cocktails but all in all a great Thursday.

We went for the Burlesque show and tapas last night, thank god it was with a voucher, if we had paid full price I would've been livid. The staff were extremely rude and hard to get their attention. The seating was a joke, they took way too many bookings for the space.
The food was tiny serves and not even nice food. The show, well we waited around for 3 different shows that consisted of 1 girl dancing to 1 song then half an hour later another girl dancing to 1 song. We barely saw them as they performed to the large group down the other end. They needed several dancers at a time so that everyone could get some entertainment.
As we looked around we saw lots of disappointed people and lots of people walking out after a short stay. Its really a shame because the place looked great and the girls who danced did seem to be able to perform quite well from the 20 sec we saw of it.

Regarding Burlesque @DOME Bar.
Please understand the people listing 1 for value receive
2 x glasses Mumm French Champaign ( $40 RRP)
4 X Tapas entrée (from $35 - $50)
2 x Free entry to a show
For just $39.
It has come to management’s attention that customers attending Burlesque demand seating. For a venue licensed for 300 people, seating all customers restricts this number to something like 120.
As we noticed this we tried to reduce numbers by contacting customers, however customers came anyway, and hence the space was ill prepared for seating 100% (60 / 40 seating to standing is common for a bar and lounge)
It is also evident by utilising an external data base to market the event , we gained a clientele we are not familiar with. Classic example is that the bar staff were tipped a total of $4 / person or $44 / venue for a Friday. This penny pinching clientele eat their 2 x free entrée tapas and complain they are not full, then have their $20 glass of Mumm Champaign and run out the door before they spend any money.
We have also been trying different set ups of dancers. Due to the Cheepie’s leaving early, we work to a crescendo into the later evening around 10.30 or 11 to reward the desired clientele. We are lucky to have some of Sydney’s best performers. We have spent a lot of time choreographing the dance with two dancers (as suggested) and imputing other acts to the show to hold the thread and theme. We also introduce satire and more story line. This will be live early 2012.
So please if you are a Burlesque lover, come again as we have been learning how to perfect a great show. Apologies to the people who where over crowded. If you are attending, it Friday have a beverage, relax, there will never be as many booked as the first three shows. As in all events, come relax, and enjoy.

Wow. Was there last night. I couldn't believe they charge, apparently a $25 cover charge to get into a empty space.
When the Tapas style food came out, I literally laughed out loud and so did a few friends, I'm glad I had dinner before hand, there were four of us, and we got four tiny little mushrooms. Please this Tapas was very stingy.
I asked for water for the table, the waitress told me to get it myself, however, later they did come out with water for the table.
The Space itself is very pretty. However, apparently there is a $25 cover charge, I stopped paying to get into places 8years ago. So if they're trying to appeal to a younger crowd maybe they'll get their $25, however, anyone over the age of 27 Goodluck.
I will def. not come again for the tiny, tiny portion of Tapas. Will I come again, maybe on a saturday night where there are more atmosphere and people, maybe, if they're going to charge a cover charge, I'll keep walking straight past them, its not the Ivy! Please.

The worst service I have even experienced. I went to the Burlesque night and, unfortunately, I was really disappointed with the experience. I am generally not one to complain but my friends and I were subjected to the most appalling service I have ever experienced.
When we arrived slightly after 7 there was no spaces for 4 people to sit together despite the fact half the place was mostly empty but reserved. I had booked for our group of 4 but apparently that does not involve booking somewhere to sit. The girl directing people where to sit would not explain the system to us (as I was unsure if there was a section reserved for us) and rudely told us “just go around the corner” and “that it just the way it is.”
Luckily a lovely couple made some space for us and we were able to sit nearish to each other. The next debacle was ordering our tapas. After waiting about an hour one of my friends went to make sure our order hadn’t been lost. The same rude girl said to my friend when she went to check on our order “your food is coming.”
I am interested to know how she ‘knew’ this when she hadn’t even bothered to ask for our order number. Not trusting her confirmation that the food was coming my friend then asked the women behind the bar about our order, who apparently ‘checked’ and said our order was next to be made.
Another half an hour later I went to check on the order and was told it had been lost (not really a surprise). The order was retaken and I was told it would be first to be made. After another 25 minutes another of my friends had had enough and asked to speak to the manager as the bar staff clearly weren’t checking on our order.
And finally after more than 2 hours, at about 10pm we were served our tapas. I realise mistakes can be made and orders lost but the staff should really make an effort to rectify the error when it’s brought to their attention. To apologise for what had happened to us (at the suggestion of my friend) we were each given a complementary glass of warm sparkling.
We had used Groupon voucher but I would highly recommend pay full price and go somewhere else where you will not be subjected to such appalling service.

Another person paying nothing and wanting the world.
How can you honestly rate drinks (Mumm French Champaign) at 2/10, ambiance as 1/10.
Granted the service as an issue but come on and state the facts.
