Am fussy and for me to give 10/10 - was excellent from the best cooked salmon and meat, to the service and value for money - well done!

After a long debate as to what we should order, we’re finally settling for the duck and the salmon. Monsieur was tempted by the eye fillet but beef is easier to cook well than preserved duck. Having had a late lunch, we’re not ordering any sides. We’ve decided to share, as usual, so Monsieur can get a bit of preserved duck and I get the crisp of the salmon’s skin.

We were strapped for time as we were heading to a show at The State Theatre and I remembered that the restaurant at The ArtHouse Hotel was supposed to be quite good. Dome has a cosy warm atmosphere and the staff were very friendly and attentive. Five of us piled in at 7pm and all ordered the beef fillet with roast onions and mash. They also have an excellent wine list. Wow, when our food arrived it was one of the best steaks any of us had had in Sydney! Cooked to perfection (medium rare) and just melt in your mouth flavour! The roast onions and mash were just as sensational along with a tasty jus. We were very satisfied as we headed off and made our show. We are on our way back very soon with a little more time to try the entrees and desserts as well.

My wife and I had dinner there on thursday night on way to the state theatre, we were in a hurry, this was not a problem, the waiter informed us that all the pasta and seafood dishes were quick to prepare, we started with a large seafood tasting plate to share, the prawns in rice paper were awesome, then my wife had a piece of blue eye cod $28 and I had a pan fried gnocchi, which was not really gnocchi as its known, it was medallions of gnocchi dough, pan fried in butter with huge scallops atop$32, great food, good service, we will be back for a proper un rushed meal real soon.

Came here mid week for dinner, it does have a nice intimate feel, but a little too quiet, you can hear the table next to your conversation. Food was outstanding, especially the rib eye fillet. It was cooked to perfection and melted in your mouth. The salmon main portion was a little too small but was cooked very well.

The entrees were also small portions, the onion tart was too small and the seafood tasting plate. Pity because they tasted really good its just too damn small. As for the dessert the cheesecake slice was once again too small but the chocolate marquais was a good portion but a little too rich.

As for service, it was ok, but they should check up every now and then just in case you want another drink etc. I would like to come back to try the chowder entree, we had a teaser on the seafood tasting plate and the table next to us ordered it and it looked like they thoroughly enjoyed it.

We purchased a 2 for 1 voucher to try the restaurant and experience, we were seated at the worst table in the restaurant, next to kitchen and toilet exit. Wine list has no years on vintages and service was average. Food for what is was was good, and ambience like the restaurant promises but doesn't deliver. Silly really , they put these vouchers out to get new business and then treat you like a half price customer. We won't be back, pity because it could be great with that room.

Amazing. I could not fault the service or the food that the kitchen produced. Having been with a large group of co-workers, we all sampled various meals and no one was disappointed. The scallops were divine, the seafood ravioli melted in the mouth, the pecan pie left me in a state of ecstasy (or perhaps that was the beautiful selection of wines and ports)! While it is a little 'out of my price range' as a student, it was well worth the experience of amazing food and excellent service. Amazing.

I visited the Dome Restaurant recently and I was very impressed with the food and service. The prawn ravioli is Amazing! The vanilla pannacotta for dessert topped it off perfectly.

It was easily as good as some of the hatted restaurants in Sydney, with out the pretentious attitude. The waiter was very attentive, the building is beautiful and the meals were very reasonably priced considering the quality.
