At first I thought it might have only been me that had bad service. Now I feel comforted in the fact that they are consistently disappointing on every level!

Firstly we were promptly seat in a nice area on the first floor. Within 2 minutes we were told that our table was reserved and we were then ushered to back of the restaurant. Still the night was young and it didn't really matter but this was only the tip of the iceberg, here is the rest I will try cut it short.! Repeatedly asked for an ice bucket for our wine before receiving one. Friend was told not to order a pizza because it would come out at the same time as the rest of the meals. Never been refused food before!

Waited a little under 2 hours for mains. Without someone explaining or apologising.
Noticed that 2 locals that knew the waiter ordered 15 minutes after us and were served and hour before us. After long wait meals came out 5 to 10 minutes apart. Glad we didn't order the pizza! Was thinking of ordering dessert but decided against!

The food was average to bad. Asked if there were potatoes in the seasonal veg. The answer came back yes but my meal had none to be seen. Also was served additional plate of patatoeless veg which I had not asked for! Asked for the bill. After waiting 15 minutes went downstairs and asked for the bill again. When I looked at it and it was the wrong table. After all the poor service I laughed which apparently really ticked off the one of the waiters and he swore at us.

After politely swearing back at him the senior staffs ask what was wrong. Then they told me not to ruin a good night! Good night? What good night? The service and food were awful the staff are rude and now you have lost my bill! This was rudely replied with "Well we have had a good night". At that point I was lost for words. Sorry 7 was a long one!

Now I have to sit there and tell the waiter what we had ordered while the other waiter is giving me death stares from across the room. Although the other nice waiter waited outside and apologised and told me he took a few things off the bill.
Will never go back there and recommend if you are thinking of going, read some of the other comments first!

This restaurant must be the worse value for money in Haberfield. In fact I think it gets customers when the other restaurants are closed. Never again! Everything was oily, small portion and expensive. Those guys can't even make a caesar salad. My main consisted of calamari and salad for $29 and was the size of an entree. It's been sitting on my stomach all afternoon and had severe other effects on my bowel. My advise if everything else is closed, eat toast at home.

I had gone there on a busy weekday night, waited for 10 minutes before getting seated. It was crowded, a little loud but the overall atmosphere was good.

It took a long time for someone to come and bring us the menu, even longer for drinks, and much longer for the meal. We first had a younger waitress, who seemed rather disinterested in what we were saying and took away our menu carelessly, almost knocking my bag off the chair, had I not caught it. However, the second waitress was much kinder and we had a nice chat about the place.

The food itself was okay. We had two pastas, a salad and a pizza. The pasta was rather oily and too strong for my taste. The portions were rather large too. The pizza was not bad, but I think I'd prefer Dominos. The dishes were definitely average. Or a little worse.

Overall, it wasn't a dreadful experience but I probably wouldn't go back there anytime soon.

A busy day and they still managed to find us a table without a booking for the 5 of us. Massive selection of food, food was of good quality. Service was slow.

Went last night and wish I had read some of the reviews here first. It was my wife's birthday meal and the restaurant across the road that we wanted to visit was closed (monday night) so we settled with this place.

We were ignored from the minute we got in there until we left. We had to ask for drinks several times, while locals who walked in were served immediately. Rude, vague, uninterested wait staff reluctantly served us our food. We left early after feeling unwelcome and wanting to be at home rather than in the restaurant. The food wasn't bad. Shame we won't be going back to eat it again.

This was a shockingly bad dining experience. The person who booked meant to get in to the lovely place across the road, but when the error was discovered we decided to stay. What a mistake. The wait staff were either bumbling incompetents, nearly dropping a whole snapper in my husband's lap and repeatedly forgetting requests, or downright rude.

The food was very average. I had a tuna carpaccio that was literally swimming in very average olive oil, the bruschetta was boring, and the whitebait fritters bland. The latter came with what they called aioli, but what I thought tasted more like Praise mayo with a little bit of garlic mixed in, gross. Mains were some overcooked veal with an overwhelmingly creamy funghi sauce, bland bolognaise, an almost ok snapper and some average pizzas.

Coffee took forever to come. We skipped dessert for obvious reasons. Will certainly not ever be going back! Cost just over $40 pp, which would be ok if food or service were worth it, but as both fell well short of the mark we left feeling ripped off and annoyed.

I should have listened to my sister (and read this review) and booked my belated birthday dinner somewhere else!

I came to this place several times before, only for dessert/sweet and enjoyed them so much. So I thought, why not have the dinner as well so we could just stay in one place the rest of the evening, big mistake!

Service was ridiculously slow. Had to ask 4 times, just to open our wine. Forgot the kids menu and took ages, just to get the bill (and the bill was wrong). I don't any one in our group would love to go back there again.

I first came to Dolcissimo just over 2 years ago when I moved into the area, my partner and I 'Instantly' fell in love with the place after having the Prawn pizza with chilli and garlic, bringing us back no less then once a week, just when we thought there was no better the pizza guy here (I believe he was a part manager we use to call him big fella had a german name I think) treated us no charge a Nutella Pizza with strawberrys, that had my wife ordering it everytime we dined.

However, since then the big fella has gone and along with it the outstanding quality of food we received, not to mention the service (a pizza guy who brings food out and tops up our drinks no matter how busy made us feel like we were at home).
The pizza now is disappointing, and after tonight, and the hope that it will come good again, sadly we will not be returning sorry guys you have let me down to many times now.

While I hardly ever write reviews, preferring to read them rather than write them. I must agree with alot of the previous reviews about this restaurant. I was there with a couple of friends over the weekend for breakfast. The food was tasty, and was served in nicely sized portions. The waiting staff, however, were not so pleasant or particularly nice.

It took around 20 minutes after being seated before we got to see a menu, and then another 15 minutes before the girl serving, who was not particularly friendly nor helpful decided to come back to take our order. A possible saving grace here was that the food did take less than 10 minutes to arrive to our table. Its a shame when the quality food served here is tainted by the service provided by the waitstaff.

Some advice to the girl waitressing tables on saturday morning, maybe you should work on your customer relation skills. It was not just us who were not impressed with you.
