Came here with my boyfriend after reading the reviews. I purchased a $59 Groupon voucher online which entitled us to 2 entrees, 2 mains, 2 desserts and either coffee or wine. I thought this was great value and that it would be worth the one hour and 10 minute trip for us.

For the entree I got the grilled king prawns and my partner got the garlic prawns. I was so happy we didn't pay full price because I got 5 prawns and my partner got a few prawns in his dish, however, these were nice. For the main we both got the steaks which were very disappointing. Steaks were less than a centimetre thick, salty beyond belief and swimming in oil.

Dessert I got the creme brulee which was so disgusting it had obviously been store bought it was bordering on being inedible and my partner got the oreo chocolate cake which was very rich and chocolatey we only has spoonfuls of each. I think even paying $59 for what we got was a rip off.

Absolutely dreadful. Char grilled octopus sitting in oil. Watiress very rude and unhelpful when we asked for it to be changed. Steak very small and barely cooked. Desserts small and over-priced. Will never go back again.

This place serves the same dishes as virtually all the Portuguese restaurants in the area, variations on steak and chips or seafood and chips which, although perfectly cooked and very much authentic Portuguese home-style food, are generally very overpriced.

At Divino's, the portions are comparatively small, so you will pay $20-$25 for something that seems like upmarket pub fare. The food is really tasty but definitely not good value.

It is also worth noting that while the service is very attentive and friendly, meals take a very long time to prepare. We were waiting quite sometime for our meals at lunch on Saturday and there was only one other couple in the restaurant. I was also kind of surprised that when two of us ordered the same thing (espetada, served with chips and salad), even though we were sitting at opposite ends of the table (of 8 people) they put all our chips on one plate and all our salad in one bowl.

It was bizarre and kind of annoying, we felt like they did it out of laziness or to make it look like there was more food than there actually was.

Went with another couple and really enjoyed the food but the service was a bit ordinary. We ordered the paella which means a 40 minutes wait and finally got it 80 minutes. Later....plus all but one received our entrees about 45 minutes after we ordered. The other entree came about 10 minutes later which was a bit embarrassing. However, we were with good company so the wait wasn't such an inconvenience for us and I would recommend the food and ambience. Prices were about norm for these days, $106 a couple for 2 courses and coffee.

Gosh after reading the reviews below I feel as though I dined in a totally different restaurant last night. The entrees were bland, and the mains, the baccalau was rubbery and too salty, and the steak thick and dry. Also with the tiled walls and floor the noise from a couple of large tables was earshattering. Service was woeful. Won't be back!

Divinos is certainly up there with the best Portuguese restaurants in Sydney. I dined there with some friends, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Great food and service, and a very pleasant ambience. The waiting staff were very pleasant, and there were some excellent Portuguese beers to choose from, for a pre-dinner drink. Well worth a visit for lovers of Portuguese cuisine.

We loved this restaurant. We went to the Thursday night buffet which was fabulous value. Although BYO (and licensed) they don't accept BYO on buffet night as their margin is too low. We didn't mind this as the food was lovel, sort of professional home made feel. Just lovely. The waiting staff were simply superb, friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, welcoming, a credit to the restaurant who I hope value them highly.

We had a latin night and decided on divino based on reviews. We all left really impressed. We had paellas and espetadas. (both delicious). Staff is friendly, atmosphere is good with nice background music. We'll be back for sure.

This place showed promise but, unfortunately, didn't deliver the goods. The garlic prawn entree was brought out fairly promptly but then we waited almost 45 minutes for a shared mixed grill main. The 2 waitstaff were busy with a restaurant that was half full and the younger waitress needs to brush up on her standard. She didn't seem to comprehend the menu. The main was dry and bland with a serving of boiled rice and poor chips. Won't be back.
