Currently trading as BlingBling (with some of the tackiest, glitziest decor ever), the dumplings currently stand out as the very worst I've ever eaten and are a long way away from the old Dim Sum House standard.

We ordered 5 varieties of dumpling (a half-dozen each) some steamed and some fried, tried to order pork buns (they'd apparently run out) and cucumber salad.

The dumplings were clearly handmade but the dough was thick and gluey and it wasn't immediately obvious which were the fried ones as they were all white and chewy. The fillings were all pretty tasteless and it was nearly impossible to figure out what was inside, the exception being the lamb and cumin dumpling. Not even dousing them in black vinegar and soy sauce could add flavour.

The best thing we ordered was the cucumber salad which was outstanding, fresh and zingy with garlic and completely delicious.

The staff appeared confused, even though we were the only table there and tried to charge us for dumplings by the dozen even though we'd ordered half-dozens at the waitresses suggestion. Total cost for two people was about $35 after much discussion and crossing out on the bill.

Oh old Dim Sum House - how I miss you!

I don't know why I'm the only one saying this but this place is Horrible. I was firstly served cold tea. Then when I told the waitress, she gave attitude like it was my fault.

This was then followed by one of the most horrible tasting dishes I've tasted, a combination dim sum I think it was. It was inedible and neither my partner or myself could swallow it. Then came the BBQ Pork Bun, surely a safe bet, right? Wrong. Try dead-frozen in the centre.

What's more, the staff offered no apologies, or discounts. Ridiculous. Just don't bother wasting your money. Go to an asian supermarket, buy your own frozen food and steam it at home. Cheaper and no doubt better.

The value is great but the atmosphere is quite dreary. Service is average. Slow and inattentive. Food is quite tasty, especially the pork chops.

If you're coming here, expect good value over good taste. I come here occasionally when I'm feeling a little tight and am usually satisfied with the food and service, although nothing spectacular. Staff could be more friendly. Decor is tacky and it's a pretty boring place in terms of the ambience.

My boyfriend and I ate here not knowing what to expect, but I was in the mood for dim sum. The food was fantastic! I had three kinds of dim sum and he had the chili chicken. Some of the best food we have had in Sydney. The service was good, however the staff was not very friendly. We will definitely go again.

Dined here with my partner on Sunday afternoon and decided to have the yum cha. Its a very casual place with no real character at all. We found that the service was not the best. The food overall was ok. The pork and prawn dumplings was average though we thought it was pretty cheap. Didn't try the other food but I would not go for the yum cha again.

Food: The food is mediocre. It almost all comes from frozen packets, and the price is comparable to a really good yum cha restaurant like the Marigold.

Hygiene: The hygiene is questionable. My friend and I had a waitress come over to our table to squash a cockroach that was crawling up the wall right between us on the wall.

The Service: Inexperienced waitresses combined with rude and abusive senior staff. Hard to believe people go back.

    My advice: Try elsewhere.

Had yum cha for dinner on a Thursday night, restaurant was on the sticky side and virtually empty. Ordered a vast selection of dumplings and was disappointed as they were average at best. Appeared to be bog standard and straight out of a frozen packet. Best thing was steamed veggies. Cheap at $75 for four, but wouldn't go back.

Went to this place after a recommendation by a mate. Initially went with 4 people, ordered 2 rounds of food (yum cha from menu) and it was only 80 dollars!
The food was beautiful and none of it was too heavy to stomach which I find with a lot of the fried stuff that comes with yum cha. Since the first time, we have gone back with larger groups of people every single week. The staff are now quite friendly towards us as we are regulars and always order lots of food. I can't say anything bad about this place.

Dropped in for a casual dinner here recently. The staff were really attentive, it appeared to be a family running the place with the mother and daughter serving and the son doing homework behind the register. Very welcoming and friendly although we didn't meet anyone from the kitchen! The food was good, the fried items were very very fried but apart from that I would definitely go again. There is no trolley so you order off the menu $35 for 2 people and lots and lots of food!
