Been here for both lunch and dinner. Great value. The lunch rice dish with the chicken, curry, and peanut/anchovy dish was awesome. For $10.80 you can't get a better variety of flavours in one dish! Dinner, went with 4 with their $108 banquet for 7 courses. Great variety of meat, fish, prawns, vegies and complimentary dessert. The decor is very nice and welcoming. Recommended.

Certainly more expensive than the places in Kingsford, but here, you are getting a much nicer, and relaxing surrounds. I am no Indo food expert, but I would say it is pretty OK. The waiters are not the most attentive, but not too much of a problem.

First time to Delima and first impression was the decor was nice. Nice private areas to seat a small group (5 in our's). We ordered a stewed beef dish and found it bland. The spicy eggplant was good (too chilli for some) and the fried rice was excellent but not enough. Value for money is not why you would come here. Ok if you want to try Indonesian food.

Delima Restaurant Sydney is one the best Indonesian Restaurant in Sydney. I had a dinner with my relatives from Ireland who have just visited Sydney and stayed at Quest Service Apartment across the street from this restaurant. It was not my first time of trying Indonesian food but it was for all my relatives.
Our favorite dish was the beef rendang, its kind of stewed beef with spices. The meat was so tender and tasty. The atmosphere was fantastic, we stayed there for the whole night. I will definitely come back again to try the mud crab.

Dined at Delima last night, I liked the ambience, the interiors is nicely done. Food I thought was a very good standard, I enjoyed the beef ox soup, that was very tasty. I am sure to return and dine again.

I was impressed with how Delima Restaurant would be able to bring the standard of Indonesian cuisine to such a sophisticated level. The food was great. I have never had such a beautiful Indonesian meal in Sydney. My favourite is the chili mud crab, very fresh and juicy. Another excellent one is the live fish in Gulai sauce, very well presented and delicious.
The ambience was very comfortable. We were seated in one of their semi private room with a painting of rice farm. The service was quick and polite. Price was ok consider we had the live seafood. Delima Restaurant is definitely highly recomended.

Food was great especially the Ayam Kalasan, very tender and full of flavor. It reminds me of my last visit to Bali with my partner, very authentic food. Another favourite is the chicken satay, one of the best.
The atmosphere was comfortable especially the semi private room. We were served by a waiter, if not mistaken his name is Franky, very polite with efficient service. We were recommended with the house specials and they were great and just the right amount of food.
Price were good. A bit pricy for Indonesian food but definitely worth the money paid for the quality and taste. We had a really good time and will come back again for sure.

Very expensive for typical indonesian food. Don't go there on the weekend as they are short staff, lack of communication, very noisy and loud. The management should get more wait staff.

Though the food and the ambience was fair, however, the service was so awful that it took all the pros in enticing my friends and I from ever going back there again. Service was slow and the staffs weren't attentive to our needs.
Furthermore, for the $$$ paid for the food, it was not worth it. Portions were really small and it was no where near how it looked like in the menu! Don't be fooled by what you see, as the dishes and servings are so so different. Definitely not a place to go if you value good food and service.

I am writing to express my profound frustration and disappointment with my 23rd June '09 dinner at Delima Restaurant. I went to your restaurant that night with high expectations. Not only were my expectations not exceeded, they were not met.
My concerns revolve around two primary areas, Poor Customer Service and dish preparation. Regarding the Poor Customer Service, we were asking for extra Sambal on side, however, the waitress said that they were run out of sambal, however, after few minutes the next table asked for the same thing (sambal) and they got it in few minutes after. What is the point of lying? We have money if you asked for money, however, do not lie to your customer! that was a worst customer service! also we had to wait for half an hour for our dishes to came out as we did understand how busy you guys were and 'short' of staff.
It also took ages to order additional items ex: rice, water, etc. we asked for our food after waited for half and hour after ordered and the answer that we got was 'sorry I don't know what you guys have ordered as this is not my service area' from a waiter (boy), what kind of answer was that? as customer we don't care where is your service area is, the only thing we care was where is our food? true?! As for the latter, on that particular night, the food was not up to the standard quality.
We had Cumi Goreng Tepung, and the squid wasn't clean properly and wasn't cooked enough as we can smell the ammonia when we ate it. Once again we called the waitress, the only words that she said was, 'sorry I don't know, but that is how we provide the food', so you guys provide unacceptable food to your customer? she should take the food away to the kitchen and let the chef have a try a bit and then decide whatever you guys want to do! not just saying, 'sorry I don't know, but that is how we provide the food'.
It was unbelievable dinner that we have experience with Delima restaurant and the money we spent was nearly $200 for poor quality food and very bad service.
We certainly didn’t expect one at a Delima Restaurant featuring poor dishes and services. I am sure this experience was a rare aberration from your usual high levels of service and food quality. Unfortunately, it occurred during what should have been a very special evening.
