Best Lunch time takeaway. Now open for Dinner as well from Thursday - Sunday, Alfresco Dining available. Make a booking for a divine experience. Also doing Takeaway and home delivery. It is a nice place for lunch with excellent food and reasonable prices and now open for Dine In as well with a nice traditional indian umbrella style setting in open.

Not really a regular but been there enough times to write a review. What I like about this place is that they are consistently performing at a good level which makes them a decent choice to fall back on.

My favourite dish there is their Baryani. It is the only dish that is cooked to order and despite the 10 minutes wait, it was well worth it. The flavours were there, the portions were generous, served with pickles and yoghurt, it made all my taste buds dance.

Other dishes were quite decent, with a variety of chicken, beef and goat curries. Most of the curries are a bit too sweet for my liking but they are still reasonably good.

Other review seem to complain about variety but in my opinion, if you are good at doing something, you should continue doing it because your customers treat you as a specialist.

Service is self-serve food court style, so nothing really to comment on. Value is good compared to other stingy Indian places around North Sydney.

I had done catering through various well know Indian restaurant before; as this was very important occasion I want the food to be authentic, different and special for over 100 people. I found Delhi Hutt’s food and the whole team excellent, they gone above and beyond to provide the best food on time, top quality and exceed my expectations. I will recommend there food to everyone.

I have just used Delhi Hutt to cater for a function for 600 people. The attention to detail was perfect, good communication and willingness to please. I got rave reviews from the guests for their Butter Chicken Curry, so well done, Delhi Hutt. I will gladly use your services again.

Moved to nth Sydney office, so happy to find a place at least who cook home style indan food, so much to choose from specially if you are a vegetarian as they cook diff vegs every day, hard to find in any other indian takeaway. If you like indian and value for money then this is what you looking for, keep up the gud wrk guys.

I went to get lunch at this place. Ordered the two curries and rice special. One of the curries was 'Masala Pumpkin'. I thought 'ah that would be nice!' One bite and I almost threw up! It was burnt and tasteless! May be they think customers are stupid enough to eat whatever is given to them! Not to mention, I paid around $9 for this "Divine" experience! Never going back and will advise my work mates not to go there either! Worst food ever. Perhaps, the 'chef' shouldn't have left his day job!

Of course the portion will be generous since they have to get rid of the food they will never sell 'coz half of it is burnt and the rest is just useless!

There is not much choice in dishes, one gets tired of the limited menu. The portions are ok but the taste is going down. Service is average.

Now one of my regular places for lunch. In contrast to other Indian food court places in North Sydney which are quite stingy, the portions of this new place are quite generous, and on top the curry dishes are delicious with really good Indian species. Keep up the good work!

June 2008 Update: Has to downgrade my rating after many lunch visits. Variety seems to be the issue here as every day they basically serve the same dishes, always mega choices of lamb and goat meat (not lamb/goat meat eater) never beef. Black pepper chicken wings are often served but a little dry lacking curry sauce. Portions still gererous but hope they improve the choice of dishes.

I work in North Sydney area and usually look for a good eating joint. This place was called "Sindoor" before and that time the food wasn't so good. Recently it's been taken over by Delhi Hutt and the food quality has changed drastically. The variety of food they are serving is just so vast, even in vegeterian. I have seen their business growing majorly coz of good food and service.

Ambience is also nice authentic hut style with bronze colour walls and wooden pearl sticks on ceiling. Outside they have nice traditional umbrellas which are definitely eye catching.

Service is not only nice and quick but also they go an extra mile to make your meal perfect eg. they give free salads and pickles with your lunch deal and I think that's a very good idea. Even in busy time they serve fresh naans so thumbs up for that.

In terms of value you can't expect anything better than this in time of inflation, generous portions with reasonable prices. Good Luck to the new management.
