Great place to take the kids for lunch or dinner. Don't expect a fine dining experience. Dedes is solid as a rock when it comes to food and service. Don't expect too much from the wine list. You'll have a great time at Dedes.

Has always been a fantastic spot for any occasion, but at last a refurb that adds warmth and feel and a more contemporary menu to back it up. Cocktail - chill out area is a great idea and the service is always friendly and knowledgable. Thank You and guys, especially those of you that have been and not suitably impressed give it another shot.

This was the second time we have been to this restaurant, and I was disappointed in the drop in food quality this time (last time I was impressed). We splashed out on the seafood platter, and it was pretty crap - (and really, presenting angels on horseback on skewers stuck into half an orange is pretty substandard presentation). It was way too greasy, and really lacking in value - lots of space, not so much seafood. On a positive note, my handicapped sister was treated delightfully by the staff member who served us. He was sensitive, friendly and she walked out with a huge smile on her face - thank you!

Very,very average food for the price. Seafood platter very oily and not enough for two average eating adults. Staff seemed over friendly.

I had a gathering for 20 at Dedes recently. We had the absolute best time. Con and the gang looked after us a treat...with 5 waiters waiting on us over the course of the night..a good way...even the hot chips were fabulous for goodness sake...Loved it...Good mood...Great food...Top venue night or day ...and I'm not related..They even liked our kids...Try it.

Delightful setting on the river and obviously a thriving rowing club supports Dedes.

But the food lacks quality. The menu sounded innovative, and the food was presented with some presentational flair, but the quality was not up to the mark. Prawns, almost certainly frozen and imported, were tasteless and had a cardboard texture. Salad was fresh and with a flavoursome dressing. Lobster was advertised as local with a morney dressing, but our party wanted its lobster fresh and with salad. The chef honoured our request, but the meat was delivered with a "fruit salad". Most odd. And the lobster was rather tasteless and very cold.

What is difficult to beat is the price. Problem is, the menu promises much but doesn't deliver. Better to set their sights lower and provide wonderful quality. Certainly get repeat business that way. But we won't be there.

I was there for a work function and had the seafood platter - very ordinary, small portions of low quality seafood and too much chips. I've had better at the at the Sydney fish market takeaways!!! Can't fault the friendly service and the excellent view though.

A bit difficult to get into if you live in the area unless you become a member of the RSL. The food was great and service good. Recommend the seafood platter.
