The best coffee in Summer Hill and the food they do is great considering there is no kitchen. The staff are always obliging and after a couple of visits know just how you like your coffee. The place is small but adds to the ambience and when it's busy you might have to wait a little longer for your order but it is worth it.

My wife loves this place due to the quality of the coffee and the home made muffins which I agree are as good as those of the Gallery Cafe in Annandale. I tho' have an issue with the lack of service. Having given Decolata 4 chances and on each occasion received no semblance of any friendliness from any of the staff including the Barista, I cannot recommend it. Surely it is not too much to expect a basic hello. There are so many excellent cafes that make you feel welcome.

Unfortunately, since the previous owner has moved on, the new cafe owners have really let the quality slip.

How many times do you have to get burnt boiling hot coffee to make you not go back? Burnt toast? Sadly too many times despite asking a couple of times. Sorry this used to be a great cafe with really consistent coffee amongst the best in Summer Hill. But will head back to some of the others.

This is a truly local cafe. After only going in once or twice the barista remembers my name and order! It's a very nice way to start the day. The cofee is good and inexpensive, and they don't charge extra for soy, extra shots etc. Babycinos are free which is another pleasant surprise.

The range of food is quite limited but what they do, they do well. The vegetarian toasted sandwich has a bit too much on it so I usually ask for specific things which they always do perfectly. It's never a problem to ask for a half serve or something that's not on the menu.

The cafe is quite small and can get crowded with take away customers and those sitting in. On a nice day there is a courtyard out the back which takes the pressure off a bit. Compared to some of the other cafes in Summer Hill, where the service is arrogant and value questionable, this one is a gem.
