The venue itself is great, lovely location and food is good, however, do not organise a function here. I had a function of 33ppl and was booked into a specific area which I wanted, I had sent copious amounts of emails and no response then when I finally got a response was told the area had been double booked and was then promised another area which I agreed on, then emailed again to confirm and was told I couldn't have that promised area, however, with persistence they then agreed and confirmed I would have the area outside.

When we arrived on the night, however, they had put us in a completely different area and had only set up 1 table for 15 people which couldn't even seat half my function, we had to pull tables from wherever we could to make it work, and for a surprise party it really did ruin the surprise.

To top it all off I approached the functions team on the night to express my disappointment and was not even given a slight apology. I have heard from friends knowing other people that have had problems with the function people so I would definitely look elsewhere to have your function.

Lovely vista but don't bother with their Groupon/Spreets type offers. They claimed our meal for two was worth $112 (we paid $39) but then typed '$19 value' into the till when we arrived and supplied a single bowl of prawns and mussels to share plus two glasses of wine.

There were no accompaniments, literally just prawns and mussels! Unless soggy lettuce counts. There were a few leaves in the sauce, squashed under the finger bowl which they had put In the sauce in the middle of the bowl! There was also some plain white bread that they had dried to a bland crisp in the oven.

The very limited service (we had to collect our own meals and cutlery) was surly. Not impressive at all and a long, long way from the advertised $112 value. Lovely outlook though. Certainly worth a visit for a snack or a drink and the view. Just don't expect much more.

Great location on the deck for lunch especially for a large group. Good variety of meals on offer all reasonably priced. A little disappointed with the quality served up but you go there really for the outlook. Friendly service.

Went for lunch with a friend on a sunny winter's day to enjoy a fabulous location, and a great day was had! Food was delicious and plentiful (a seafood basket and the salt and pepper calamari dish shared between us). Staff were pleasant and quite efficient at the bar. Gets a little noisy with big groups but will be very happy to return in the not too distant future as great value for money with wonderful views!

Would have to be one of the best value venues on Sydney Harbour! The fish and chips was easily as good if not better than any I have had anywhere else in Manly. To top it off you won't find a better spot to soak up the rays on a sunny winters day than their huge timber deck. Definitely highly recommended!

Fabulous location, ordinary food, counter service, pub prices. On a friday we ordered fish and chips with the chips done medium-to-well. What was delivered (picked up from the counter) was over-battered fish that had been cooked in oil that was not quite hot enough accompanied by slightly brown chips with a salad on the same plate so the chips stewed the salad. Not quite hot enough either. It used to be better than this.

The food is not cheap, and it is not brilliant, but it easily good enough to justify many return trips. Fabulous location. Try it, often.

Great food, great crowd and a first class location, always been a favourite of mine. The burgers and seafood are good, a great place to spend the afternoon.

This is the best pub food in Manly and easily the best location. Packed full of local sailor types and hardly a tourist in sight. The food isn't cheap but the location is perfect.

The ambience and service were similar than a fast food restaurant, a bit cheap, whilst we were having dinner the management was passing message through the speaker. Quality food, Mediocre. A good point: The views.
