A good deal with BYO and Entertainment Card. Unusual surroundings for an Indian and can be a bit quiet, it's a huge cavernous place. Typical Indian menu and servings.

Excellent food and plenty of it! Helpful staff but the wait in between the entree and the main was a little to long. Overall a great find and will go back?

Darbar makes for a very pleasant evening out. It has a very atypical Indian menu, one that features dishes that are either uncommon or altogether original. The mango lassi is particularly delicious, flavored with cardamon - a delightful break from the standard-issue lassis one finds at other places. To date I've enjoyed chicken dishes there, but I have every confidence in their lamb and seafood offerings as well.

Throw in an atypical cellar location, and Darbar makes for a nice Indian dinner out. It's not a budget restaurant, but the food you are paying for is original, hearty, and good.

A wonderfully ambient restaurant with lots of stone & subdued lighting. Pity they don't light the fireplace - it would warm it up a lot as it's freezing, particularly in winter. We love the food. It's not cheap, but very flavoursome & lots of variety. Staff a little sombre but attentive. We've been a few times - once with a voucher & the food & service was the same. We'll keep going back.

I love this place! I had a group deal coupon, but the food and the atmosphere were amazing. My boyfriend always wants to go back. You eat in an awesome cave, with really unparalleled interior. Its very romantic. The food was average price, delicious, and the service was excellent.

Ambience has certainly gone downhill since Darling Mills was here. The fitout is looking very tired and it is hardly welcoming having the garbage bin in the entrance foyer.

Despite booking on Dimmi they did not seem to have any record of our booking. We ended up with the worst table in the restaurant in what was the bar area back when it was Darling Mills. We were next to each other at the table, on a high bench and and a lower chair. The lighting was so dim that you could hardly read the menu. It took quite a while for the staff to take the order, but then the entrees came out reasonably quickly. The entrees were very good, tandoori was soft and moist.

We then had to wait more than an hour for the main courses, also very good.
Overall a reasonable experience but I don't think it was good enough to warrant a return visit.

We have been to Darbar a few times now. It is convenient to home, reasonable food but the atmosphere is cold and staff, well crack a welcome and smile guys and girls. Darbar is not the place to go to on a cold night, the place is freezing. Rug up and take your own smiles to warm the place.

The prices are pretty decent for such a nice looking restaurant. It looks like a oonverted wine cellar. The food is tasty and fresh. I particularly enjoy their Chicken chat pat and the marinated mushroom dish. Their curries are good too. Only disappointment was the biryani (both veggie and meat) as it seemed like it was lacking in sauce to give it that extra taste.

I went there last Saturday for a friends birthday and we ordered the banquet. The lamb korma and beef roganjosh was so dried and tough that it feels like chewing cardboard. Butter chicken is not bad.

The service was quite terrible. The waiters were not attentive, ask for water for many times. We have waited for the main to come for more than half an hour. When we asked the waiter, he said he didn't know we finished entree. They just dropped down the food and don't tell you what dish it was.
