Overview of Daejangkum

DAE JANG KUM offers its customers an impressive choice of meat, seafood and vegetable. The variations range from octopus to Japanese wagyu beef. We are not serving only Korean BBQ, but also many various Korean meals like now become international food kimchi, marinated beef rib, bulgogi, bibimbab, ginseng chicken soup, etc and what is more, there are over 150 meals. Each meal has got their own unique taste. You could not get any regret with the meals made by four experienced chefs.

We aimed at every customer to be satisfied with our meal, reasonable price, atmosphere and service. The decor of the restaurant is very traditional Korean style; we tried to reappear a real heritage Korean atmosphere in Sydney. The well-trained staffs are waiting to assist you 7days a week till late night.

I just had to write a review about this restaurant because it has quickly become my favourite. We also get Korean BBQ. The spicy pork is great and beef bulgogi are great. The side dishes taste good and are plentiful. The service is quick and the waiters are friendly. Although last time, we had one who wasn't as attentive as the usual waiters. Always going to come back.

Went there tuesday night and it was quite empty. We were promptly seated and given a good amount of time to peruse the menu. Once we placed our orders our food came out quite quickly. We order marinated wagyu, marinated pork, bugolgi, pork ribs for the bbq.

Overall the meat was nice but very pricey for the amount you get. We also ordered the bimbimbap and jab chae and kimchi noodles and those were a disappointment, I've had better at the food courts. The total for the 5 of us was a little over $250 and we didn't even eat a lot considering we stopped feeling hungry waiting for the food to cook. This place is not bad but expensive for the small amount of food you get.

I went here with my gf for our monthly anniversary and it was the first time we have been to a Korean BBQ restaurant. We absolutely loved it! The food was delicious, the staff were really friendly (they regularly changed our BBQ plate and told us that the carbon build-up from the charred meat and sauce is bad for our bodies). The price wasn't too bad either considering how delicious the food was. From memory we ordered stir fried squid, extra rice, marinated duck and spicy marinated chicken (both duck and chicken for BBQ) which totaled ~$51. In the end we were both extremely full and very satisfied! We will definitely be coming here again to try something new :)

Great tasty food, good service with a great price to match.

We had a combination bbq with a spicy beef soup. All were flavoured well with a great amount of sides.

Will hopefully to be back to try many more dishes as they have so many on the menu!

We often go to Dae Jang Kum. The food is really good (even though the portions are smaller since a year), the Korean BBQs/side dishes are really good! The service has always been great. I highly recommend it!

We had dinner for four here, with numerous meats for the BBQ including wagyu and bulgogi. Loved it! And had a number of refills of the ban chan (side dishes)!
Definitely a good spot to savour good extensive Korea BBQ style ambience and food.

BBQ offerings are extensive, healthy and served with a good variety of side dishes. There is also a large variety of umeshu (plum wine) and soju (korean rice wine), which is good for a celebration. Give the hot pots a go as well, I was pretty impressed with the kim chi and dumpling hot pot! Pancakes weren't brilliant though.

Service was very prompt and attentive (as with most Korean BBQ places, there are door bells on the tables). Good value as well, we ended up paying about $35 per person, including soju and umeshu!

I enjoyed my dinner here, loved their ox-tail soups. Also had the seafood tofu soup. We didn't order the BBQ here but their soups are just as nice. The staff was friendly and helpful. Btw, love the banchans (i.e. side dishes) here. I am a fan and will be back next time to try the ginseng chicken soup too.

I've been searching for a good Korean BBQ for a while and was very happy to come across this one. For a laugh, check out the recommendations for drunks at the back of the menu.

Average Korean restaurant, BBQ meat a bit pricy and not spicy enough. Good side dishes though and plenty of refills.
