Went there on a Sat night and the place was really busy so good atmosphere. The food was tasty, esp the naan but we ordered the Aussie Korma (ie. mild creamy) but it was the same colour/ consistency and spicier than the balti dish! The waitress asked how it was and seemed really concerned but then did nothing about it!
We probably wouldn't go back again as we're used to the curries in England and in comparison these were a bit disappointing. We spent about $30 for two (no starters), but other Indian restaurants up the same road are a little cheaper. BYO and no charge for corkage (Hurrah!).
Very good food, fish and prawn curries are best. BBQ dishes are mouth watering, cheese Naan is great and value for money has no match in Sydney. I'll be surely going back.
The best Indian in Newtown! The food is great and there is a lot of variety and plenty of vegetarian options on the menu. The service is prompt and efficient. The prices are very cheap. In short it's fantastic!
Best Indian/Pakistani restaurant in Sydney, the onion bajis are the best and the cheese naan is fantastic. The food is tasty and great value. The service is friendly, we never go home hungry or disappointed.
Some of the best Indian/Pakistani food you will find in town. Consistently delicious and spicy and very well-priced. The Tandoori chicken is tender and juicy with a zingy kick, Saag Gosht is heavenly with tender morsels of meat in a thick spicy blend of spinach and spice, and the Goat curry will warm your heart with a very flavourful punch. Sop up all of this with the garlic naan (strong enough to keep the vampires away) and satisfaction will come your way. We've been here many many times and still haven't left feeling unsatisfied and hungry.
Best Indian /Pakistani food in Sydney, friendly service and good value for money.
Must try fish curry and prawn korma, tandoori platter is very good also.
Great food but I thought the mains serving were a little small. Went in a group of 8, ordered entrees followed by 7 curries to share and went home a little hungry.
