I bought three cupcakes (otherwise I would not get a box) and they were hard, not moist. The only nice thing was the icing. Not worth it at all. I have tasted a lot of better cupcakes. Big let down.

Cupcakes here are of a dense buttery texture. The decorations are reasonably appetising. Service is average if you sit in their courtyard (out of sight, out of mind).

Really great cupcakes, buttery with lots of frosting, just the way I like it! The cake on its own would have been at least a 9 but the ice tea I bought with it was presented beautifully but was spoiled by the fact that it was drastically overbrewed. The garden out the back was a calming contrast to loud, congested Oxford St. The biggest problem was the service, which was indifferent bordering on rude. I think this could have been improved by having at least one other staff member on.

I have been a paddington local for years and have watched this shop crumble away without renovation. Despite that they retain a cheerful disposition in drab surroundings. I had always just accepted that this was the`look`the owners were going for until I was at the IVY and noticed the new shop, fresh and clean looking, very nice. Paddington has an awesome vibe with funky music and colourful staff and customers.

Everyone knows these guys make the best cup cakes in Sydney with no packet mix. (I won't even go into that.) Will someone please renovate this place before we lose a swedish back packer through the floor. The windows have been amazing lately, quirky and artistic. I love this place and look forward to a face lift.

Awesome, awesome, awesome! Cupcakes that taste like cupcakes just like in NYC where I'm from. I can see myself being here all the time. Love the vanilla cakes, nice and buttery!

I get these cupcakes at their city shop during the week and needed a cupcake fix. The service is much faster here as it is not as busy as the city.

The cupcakes are the same though, yummy as ever. The coffee and cupcake deal is not as good as their city store, 90c more expensive, I think it's a different coffee.

Sat in for a while, it was okay.

I love cupcakes and this place deserves a medal for finally coming up with cupcakes that people expect to eat. Not you cupcakes from the packet or the fake cake mix, these have obviously been baked from scratch.

I had a chocolate cake, not too sweet & moist, loved the topping. The sundaes looked tempting but will have to give that a go another time.

Was there on a Saturday, would help if there was more seating, had to sit on the couch.

Definitely, the best cupcakes in Sydney. My friend and I shared the vanilla strawberry cupcake and the sticky date. The vanilla was like the cake you used to have on weekends at home cooked by mum, and the sticky date actually tasted like a sticky date pudding.

We sat in the courtyard which was relaxing, sort of forgot we were on Oxford Street for a while. The coffee was good too.

This place is so Paddington. All style and no substance. It's what the locals deserve for their contemptuous attitudes and arrogance. And as far as it moving west to keep going, not a chance. People that live outside of Paddington wouldn't fall for that overpriced pretentious twaddle for a second. You reap what you sow.

This place has the best cupcakes in Sydney. My friend and I have been on a cupcake crawl over the past two months and this one takes the cake. Good to see some new varieties instead of just jazzied up chocolate and vanilla cakes like in some of the others. If you would like to eat lunch they have a pretty good range on offer.
