Wow! We went here for my 30th on a Friday night and were thoroughly impressed by the entire experience.
Waitstaff were professional, knowledgeable, and attentive without being clingy. The service itself was very well paced, allowing us time to enjoy the meal and each others company without feeling rushed or waiting too long between courses.
But it was the food itself that was to die for. We ended up doing a sort of entree degustation, with a piece each of the zucchini flowers, stuffed baby squid and an eggplant roll, and all were absolutely delicious. I will dream about the eggplant things for months!
The mains were also beautifully presented and delicious. Extremely fresh produce was used and cooked perfectly. This restaurant is definitely worthy of the chef's hat it so narrowly missed out on.
The only downside was that it was quite a pricey night, but not unreasonable given the quality of the food and service. I would definitely go back!

This was the forth time we have dined at Cucinetta. The last time was our wedding. Yet again the food was outstanding, the service attentive and the ambience flawless. Giovanni has a well oiled machine here and I urge you to sample his wares.

I dined here with local friends yesterday evening, we arrived a little late and were shown to an outside table with a superb view of the city lights, as it was cool the staff kindly lit one of the big gas heaters for us.
Both my entree of stuffed calamari and my main of long cooked beef cheek were perfect. The restaurant was full but the service was still excellent. The menu is modern Italian and reminded me of that of Bel Mondo in some ways.

My partner and I had dinner here on Tuesday night. Thankfully we made a reservation as the dining area, was pretty small and they were mostly full. We had the $59 for 3 course set. We started off with oven baked zucchini flowers with 5 cheese and pan seared calamari and prawns. I absolutely loved the zucchini flowers. The combination of 5 cheeses was excellent. It was sweet, creamy, salty and just worked very well in the dish.
My partner loved the seared calamari and prawns which I thought were good too. The seafood was very well cooked and seasoned well. It was a tremendous start to the meal.
For mains we had the fish of the day (white cod with parnsip puree and lentils) while the parsley linguine with crab meat and chilli basil soffrito. We had some issues here. Fish was cooked well but was not seasoned at all which was surprising. Not a hint of salt or season on the fish so it was very bland. We swore that all the seasoning for the fish went into the linguine because that dish was extremely salty. The pasta was a little overcooked but it could be just me as I like my pasta al dente. Nonetheless, we still finished everything as it was good.
For desserts we had the tortino and the crepes. My partner loved the tortino as it was soft and gooey in the inside with a nice crust on the outside like a molten lava cake plus the bitter chocolate ice cream worked really well for us. It wasn't sweet at all but we were glad it wasn't. The crepe for me was Excellent. The passion fruit white chocolate fondue was so great. The passion fruit wasn't too tart or overpowering but it added a great fruity taste to the sweetness of the white chocolate. The crepes were light and the mascarpone cheese in the middle was like a great cloud of fluff.
To top it all off the caramelised banana on the top just brought it all together. All components eaten together was mind blowing. This is definitely the best dessert I've ever had, barring it being a little too sweet for my liking. Service was excellent with all 4 servers being attentive, polite and helpful.

My partner brought me here as part of a surprise Valentine's Day adventure. The atmosphere was delightful, appropriately for Valentine's day there was a long stemmed red rose on each table and the restaurant had a great view. Live music was also great, with a talented guitarist/singer who did some wonderful covers.
The set-menu food was absolutely delicious, particularly the oven-baked pork sausage entree that I chose.
Service was incredible, we'd forgotten to call up in advance regarding some allergies and initially feeling embarrassed, but the kitchen staff and our waitress were very helpful in coming up with last minute alternative dishes my partner would be able to eat, putting us at ease. Service was prompt but we were in no way rushed.
Absolutely superb, and one of the best date locations I've ever been taken on!

It was a surprise, despite the heavy rain on 25th January 2012, the greeting from the staff was warm and comforting. We were sat a table with a gorgeous view. The noise level in the restaurant was soft and calm. Kitchen noise was nil.
Service was prompt but not hurried or slow. Choices from the menu was ample. Quality of food was superb. My guest had the slow cooked lamb shank (lamb and not sheep), whilst I had the main seafood soup. Recommend this fine restaurant.

This little gem tucked away at the end of Woolwich is our absolute favourite local & if you're not local is probably worth the trip. Their weekday special of $49.00 for 2 courses & $59.00 for 3 courses also make it fantastic value for money especially if you want to be byo with the corkage $8.00 per bottle.
The food is fresh, authentically Italian with a modern twist & we have yet to experience a bad dish or even average one for that matter. Service is attentive & has improved enormously since they first reopened after the makeover a couple of years ago. The ambiance is lovely with views to the harbour bridge, subtle lighting & it is nice to be able to have a conversation comfortably even when the restaurant is full. It is easy to see why this is the busiest restaurant on the peninsular.

Ate here at this local gem after friends recommended it to me. Had the weekly promotion for 49 two courses. Food is up there with best italian restaurants by far. Service is friendly and professional. Great value for money as you can choose any item off the menu. Must return.
