Awesome view. Had dinner with mates last night. We ordered Angus beef, king salmon and Perch Fillet. Dishes were tasty but over priced for the quality received. A bit slow the service was but will be back for the ambience.

Myself and overseas guests had lunch here on Sunday 23 Oct. There was a ham baguette on the menu and my friend asked if she could have cheese instead of ham. The very rude waiter rang the kitchen, came back and said it was not available. My friend said that there is a cheese platter on the menu, so they must have cheese in the kitchen. The waiter first said that it would cost at least $30 for a cheese baguette and then told us there is a Subway down the road and suggested we go there instead. Since we had already got our drinks this was not an option. The food arrived and it was horrible, my friend settled for the ham baguette which contained the cheapest meat from a packet. When the same waiter asked how the food was, we told him it was horrible and that we should have taken his advice and gone to Subway, he agreed. Draw your own conclusions. This place is a tourist trap and only survives because of its location and the view of the Opera House.

Came here for a Saturday lunch. Amazing spot. That's where it ends. Service was disgraceful. Waited 40 minutes for a chicken burger which tasted horrible. No table service, which is fine, only if the staff at the bar are capable of putting through an order in under 10 minutes. Just a shocking overall experience. Much better run places in the area with as nice views. Steer clear.

The view and the proximity to everything is the draw card for this bar. The service is fair but a little slow. I've not tried the food. The sangria was nice and is the most cost effective drink on the menu.

Over rate place with rude staff, warm drink with no where to sit! Under staffed bar that took 15 minutes to get served, for what you pay for a drink you would think they could hire more staff! Amature staff who shouldn't be there. MacDonald on the way home had better service.

Another bar which believes that in order to be cool and stylish you have to have bar staff that are rude and arrogant. Great selection of drinks, great decor, ambience. To the boss, maybe you should go in undercover as a customer to see how your business is begging people not to come back.

This place is a dive! Great location with great views but the severely rude security and bar staff, along with tasteless drinks have made Cruise bar very unwelcoming. We went there one weekend with a group of 8 people after a nice dinner at the rocks. We were all looking forward to spending the rest of our night at Cruise bar but we were refused entry on the basis that the guy to girl ratio was too high. We had 5 guys and 3 girls!

Security told us that this was a management policy and it was out of their control. This seems to be the same excuse everywhere you go in Sydney these days, Security staff blame Management when incompetent security guards are employed to do a job outside of their capabilities. We would have probably understood their reasoning if the bar was busy and full of men although on this particular night it was very very quiet with hardly any people.

The next time we went back when we were actually granted entry (2 guys and 2 girls) the overpriced drinks and cordial-like cocktails confirmed my opinion of the place. We have never had the food there so my comments extend only to the bar-side of this overpriced establishment but fortunately we will not be going back to find out the quality of the cuisine!

We came here for a few drinks after work and took advantage of the jug of prawn special - prawns and 2 drinks for $24, great value. Sitting outside was just fabulous taking in the view of the harbour. Service was pretty average, seemed short staffed. Would definitely recommend for a few quiet drinks with friends.

Don't bother! If you want a bar with a nice view go somewhere else. Very rude, unfriendly and slow service, extremely limited selection of beers and cocktails, and overly expensive drinks. Their specialty fruit cocktail tasted like orange juice mixed with canned fruits with half a nip of vodka. Very bad mojito with too much ice and lime without any alcohol.
