Overall, its the view that you go there for. If its busy the service is slow and can sit inside waiting going cold for the staff to deliver. If you don't get a seat outside, then the inside lacks any atmosphere, feels dirty, as if your in a back room even though its in the center of the cafe. Outside the sun can be rather hot, but its a lovely spot, especially in winter. The food used to be very good but I now find the menu has somewhat changed, in December 2010 I could not find anything suitable to choose and there was nothing on the menu for my 10 yr old daughter to eat. I refuse to make do, and order something when there is nothing on the menu I like, so we all left. It was disappointing cause I used to love the eggs benedict and the fruit yoghurt plate. But they were not on menu. Disappointing.

Went there for lunch on a lovely sunny day. The parking is easy for us City Folk, the location great, we could almost see the goosebumps on the swimmers throwing themselves into the water. Service was friendly and helpful and the food itself was good considering that it is a Cafe and not expensive at all for the location. Will be back!

Great little cafe. Staff are always happy and interested. Went for cheese and wine on a beautiful afternoon, had oysters too! All excellent while almost sitting on the beach! To be repeated.

We had a lovely lunch here. The service was quick and it was quite busy. The food was fantastic, well presented and tasted brilliant. I will be back for sure!

Lovely place away from the hustle and bustle of Terrigal. However, don't go when it's raining, especially when it's windy too. We have been a couple of times and have been left cold and wet.

After trying the less than impressive 'cafes' in the main part of terrigal my partner and I decided to head out of the main drag and try the cove cafe. We had been before in march of 2008 and found the senior staff to be surly, the food lukewarm and the coffee terrible.

Thankfully there is a new boss in town. We were greeted with a fresh new look, smiling new staff and great coffee. The cafe now has a fresh new vibe and although they were quite busy we still felt special. I will visit again. I suggest you do the same.

No better location on the central coast for the views - menu is limited but good quality - service can be a little slow but friendly - needs attention to detail - good value and one of our favorites on the Coast. Tables are wobbly which is annoying.

This place was terrible, when we got there the english accent waitress didn't even show us to our tables, said there were bookings although the place was empty, and was completely fake throughout the time we were there and acted like we were not even welcome to be there.

She did not make us welcome, we did not get a menu for ages and made us feel extremely uncomfortable to dine there with her poor attitude. We were left sitting there for 20 minutes after receiving the menu which is more like 2 pieces of paper with 10 choices and thats mains and entrees put together of overpriced food. So we left.
The service was appalling and then they tried to charge us for corkage even though we had to serve ourselves, appalling, rude, bad bad bad!
The only good thing about it was the view.
