My husband and I held our combined 40th birthday party at the Cove at Drummoyne and were beyond pleased with how fantastic the night went as well as the preparations for the event. We found the venue on the web and from our first contact with Ben it was a pleasant and totally stress free experience. Ben was very accommodating and supportive of all our suggestions as well as giving us great advice.
The food was fantastic and the chefs in attendance (my husband included) were all very impressed. Nothing was too much trouble and the food was plentiful and so very tasty. Thanks for a great night and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend this as a venue for your party!

Food was always good here, if a bit overpriced. Good luck getting a booking on a saturday night. Was advised by staff just to turn up on a saturday night should be no issues getting a table, rocked up on the mentioned night, Closed! hmmm helpful.
Booked this week online for saturday night for hubby's birthday. I rang to confirm today (friday before booking) and staff said that they are closed for a private function and sorry the online booking hasn't been checked!
Awesome service (dripping with sarcasm).

We had a pram with newborn and a toddler, the waiter made us feel very unwelcome and made us wonder why he worked in hospitality. Wanted to stick us right out the back with limited views despite other tables available. Wasn't happy at my request for a move. Coffee was great but food very average and overpriced. The view is amazing and hoped this would be matched by the restaurant itself. A real shame.

Fantastic location and views. I held my 50th birthday function here. From the viewing, booking and actual event it was so easy. There are extensive options to choose. The food was fantastic, the staff professional, unobtrusive, and really helpful. I would not hesitate to eat here for lunch or attend a function. Value for money. I will be back!

I had a function there after having had a number of very enjoyable lunches at The Cove. The function menu was extensive and very reasonably priced. On the night Ben and his team did an outstanding job with food and service. All my guests commented on how lovely the venue, view and food was. I can't fault The Cove at all. I'll keep going back.

We thought the food was above average, quite tasty, when we went for breakfast, but it was Very expensive, luckily we had an entertainment book voucher for 25% off. We had to wait for a table as it was very busy on the weekend (all the walkers out and about), but it was worth the wait. We were seated at a table looking out over the water and enjoyed the flavours of our breakfast. We will be going back to eat in when we have our next entertainment book voucher, but not before.
I did notice that the take away prices were cheaper and represented better value, although, as someone else mentioned, there are different prices on their website and menus.

Went here for a Saturday lunch a few weeks back, very strange experience. We were sat down and given about 7 seconds to read the menu and order, obviously we asked for more time and every minute they came back to ask if we were ready to order: two different waiters and what appeared to be a cook! Very annoying.
The service was non-existent, seems like they are mostly school kids serving without a care for the customer. To add insult to injury their prices are extremely expensive for such poor food, I had a prawn salad which was literally bathed in a mayo sauce. So much so the salad was limp and the whole thing such a waste of money.
Definitely will not return. The only saving grace was it was a nice view on a hot day, however, I would recommend you to head to the Birkenhead shopping centre about a 5 minute walk away. This place is simply a waste of time and money.

Thought we would try out The Cove for breakfast and was a little surprised to see that the prices listed on both the Cove's website and also their menu at the outdoor entrance were their old prices and not the up to date and more expensive ones. The Cove is very expensive for what you get. Fruit salad for 13 dollars, Eggs on toast for 14 dollars and avocado on toast for 17 dollars, were a tad high, great coffee somewhat balanced this out though. Plenty of better and more reasonably priced alternatives in the local area.

Food was good with no complaints regarding taste or amount. Service was slow and we had to ask for desert menu and then again to order desert. View is great however we went on a warm humid day and the windows were closed but the air conditioning was struggling and it was too hot.

Just moved to the area and felt excited about visiting the Cove as the location is superb. First impression upon arrival was they don't serve breakfast after midday even on a weekend - Ok.
Service was so so, not friendly but not hostile. Staff did seem somewhat disinterested. Menu is very limited and insanely expensive, most lunch meals are around the $20-$25 mark. Ordered a ham, cheese and tomato sandwich, at $18.15 I don't know what I was expecting but what I got was a turkish bread roll with a slice of ham, a slice of cheese and tomato, how they could justify the price of $18+ for a very bland basic sandwich is really beyond me.
Essentially the place seems to be living on location and passers-by as its on the popular bay walk. Zero effort seems to be being made so avoid if you can. Much better value on Darling St.
