Went here last night for a function, and was well impressed. The space was just right for a biggish crowd, cosy not cramped. Had a fig entree, beef main, chocolate cake dessert. The first two courses were fine, while the dessert lagged a bit behind them, but was still quite Ok. All wines were spot-on.

The meals were quite delicious, and we appreciated the effort made to source local produce. My red wine from Orange was very, very good. The service was just right also, and we vowed to come back here sooner rather than later. Really great to find this type of place in Parramatta, just the kind of reataurant many would enjoy.

Feb 14, 2012 - I've been back to Courtney's a dozen times since posting my review below and I've regretted not posting those additional reviews. We had the pleasure of dining at Courtney's again last night and we were delighted with their Valentine's Day degustation menu. My mouth is still watering recalling the yumminess of the entire evening.

I have been to quite a few degustation meals and Courtney's is, hands down, the best value for money in Sydney.

Aug 21, 2006 - Friends and I dined at Courtney's on Saturday night and we all enjoyed ourselves immensely. It was a quiet night with 4 tables to serve and I couldn't fault the one waitress taking care of all of us. She was attentive and knew the menu very well. We splurged and indulged in whatever tempted our appetites and appreciated every bite.

My husband and I have been here twice now. A great night out with fantastic food and wonderful wine to accompany it. Trully a fine dining gem in Parramatta. They use only local produce and change the menu weekly with the seasons, also offer a local charity support - top notch service, ethical behavour and outstanding food, perfect.

Had a fantastic meal here tonight. Highly recommend this restaurant. We went there with 2 friends and all had a different entree and main - all were really nice. Will definitely go back again.

Very comfortable and relaxing dining ambience. Not overly noisy or crowded at the restaurant. Quiet street, unlike the Church St side. Top services from both waiters and the chef, very personal and caring. Fresh and local produce with nice presentation.

One of the dining jewel's in Parramatta's crowd. Away from the car hoon church street and closer to the river. Having the best and freshest produce sourced each day was always going to make this place a winner.

Impeccable service. Wait staff recommended an amazing wine and I felt extremely pampered and spoilt. That's how you should feel whenever you go to a higher end restaurant.

Would definitely recommend Courtney's to anyone who was in the area looking for a restaurant away from the hustle and bustle of church st.

I spent over an hour trying to locate a restaurant in Parramatta to entertain a Client and discuss business. I eventually went to eatability and quickly found Courtney's - the You Tube promotion was very compelling to try it.

I do business all over Australia and Asia and eat at some of the best restaurants in the world. I have just arrived home from lunch at Courtney's and can report the following:

The Concept - fresh local produce with continously evolving/changing menu - The ultimate in eating! Service - Outstanding - informative and very friendly.
Ambience - Great standard compared to the competition in Parramatta. Food - a sensational experience - delivers everything they promote. Wine List - a fantatsic choice to accompany the food. Price - much less than expected.

I live a considerable distance from Parramatta, but would go out of my way to go back to Courtney's.

My husband and I headed to Courtney’s last night for our wedding anniversary. I’ve walked past Courtney’s on many occasions over the last few years, always wanting to try it. So glad that we finally made it in last night.

Great to see a Parramatta restaurant serving fabulous food and sourcing as local as possible (they are trying to get everything from within a 200k radius of Parramatta). The menu changes daily also, pending on what produce they have acquired that day.

We started with a couple of oysters; one tempura style with a wasabi mayo, the other with red eschallot dressing. Both very nice – wasabi mayo was great.

Moving on to entrees, husband went the baby octopus, which was so tender it just melted in your mouth. I went for the figs wrapped in prosciutto with blue cheese dressing – I’m not usually big on blue cheese, but the dressing had just the right tang.

I went for the duck main, served with a fig tart. Yum, yum, yum – duck is always a bit fatty, sometimes to the point of greasy. This had been cooked to perfection – the fat had rendered beautifully and was absolutely delicious. Husband had the rack of lamb, also just divine.

The service was excellent as well – prompt, friendly and attentive without being intrusive. If you want a really nice meal without having to go all the way to the city, I highly recommend Courtney’s.

My husband and I had our wedding reception at Courtneys - everyone gave a 10/10 for the food. The service was also first class with Joanne and Paul giving amazing service to all in attendance. I cannot recommend this highly enough. Thank you for making our wedding reception very special.
