Gorgeous location, friendly and locally knowledgeable service, good food. Do yourself a favour and escape the rat-race. We visited with kids who were well and truly looked after and accommodated. Mum and dad could sit and enjoy and hiring a tinny for a couple of hours was icing on the cake. Thanks.

Worth every penny from the wonderful coffee to the fantastic big breakfast, we sat and watched the boats pass , read the papers, laughed and walked out satisfied on every level - don't hesitate to go and give it a try!

Cottage Point Kiosk is our favourite place in all the world. It is a must visit for all our interstate and overseas visitors. The view is simply to die for. The food and service far exceeds what one would expect from a venue of this ilk. The fish curry and aussie black mussels are a must try. They also smoke their own salmon, roast their own coffee and make their own scones, cakes and muffins. Prices are very reasonable considering it is such a seasonal location.

Beautiful place right on the water, super friendly staff. Meals are delicious I just love the fresh mussels and the fish curry. Battered fish and chips dads favourite. We hired a kayak and got to see some of this very secret place.

I ordered a hamburger and chips without looking at the price -- big mistake. When I returned to the counter to enquire if I had been mistakenly overcharged the aggressive staff told me "we are a remote location and it costs us a lot of money to get supplies in here". When I told them that I had paid half the price for a similar hamburger in a 'genuinely' remote location (archer river road house , cape york) , I was asked to leave.
Remote my arse -- they are 15 min from St-Ives.

A spectacular location right on the water. We had fish and chips and fish curry, really delicious. Two main meals and 4 beers (yes its licensed) totalled around $70. Maybe a little pricey for some but just sitting back with no crowds and watching the boats pull in and out and the bream swimming around is priceless. You will also walk off some calories walking back to your car, parking is at a premium!

Difficult. Been there a few times and while the food prices are totally unrealistic (overpriced) the staff is friendly and the location quite beautiful. But... There is one problem and that is the senior staff of the establishment. His incompetence is only matched by his rudeness. I thought the first time it was a one-off - but no. The man is a rude and only survives because of the toal lack of a competitor.

I paid about $33 for a modest breakfast with a small bottle of water and an orange juice but no coffee. Even though there were 7 of us my breakfast did not arrive until everybody else had finished and my orange juice not at all until asked for. My concern about breakfast not arriving was met with total rudeness by the senior staff.

In future I will motor the last mile to Akuna Bay and have breakfast there. This could have been a pleasant experience had it not been for that awfully misplaced senior staff.

Let's face it, probably one of the nicest spots going and a really nice change not to have another fine-dining/sit-up-straight establishment. The food matches the place perfectly, all outdoors hearty fare whilst you watch people messing around in boats. Go but not all at once eh?

If you wanna show off, take people here. Its sort of a secret place, and kept that way is good. We don't want it crowded... Great food, the owner lady is really friendly. It's a small kiosk but brilliant food. And some places charge 3 times as much for a similar view and same fish and chips. Have the fish, it's so fresh! BYO too, and she didn't even charge us corkage.

Beautiful food and amazing views. Literally at the waters edge. My husband and I went for lunch and stayed about 1 1/2 hours. Just sitting and relaxing. Tandoori chicken burger was delicious although a little toooo spicy. The steak sandwhich was great - it was a REAL steak!

If you eat up on the balcony, you can look down and see the brim - they love it when you throw them chips! A little on the pricey side but nice for a long lunch.
