The only fine dining restaurant in western Sydney with an ambiance.

We were greeted outside into this wonderful renovated restaurant. Interior was calming, along with bright, colourful and fun features. We ordered Goat Nihari, Khumb Hara Pyaz, and Lamb Melaram, to go with garlic naan bread. Taste was exquisite, top notch from average Indian. Enjoyed the experience immensely, even my mother raved about it. Will definitely come again!

Worst indian restaurant in Sydney, as per my experience. The food is average, ambience is pathetic, staff is clueless of whats happening and worst of all is the attitude of senior staff cum kitchen staff.
Booked a table for 8 but when reached found no reservations. Was given a table for 12 people without sorting out the seating arrangement, had to do it myself. After 20 minutes, the staff comes to take the order but realises that no menu has been provided. No wine glasses for 30 minutes. No ice bucket for another 30 minutes. Food arrived late with wrong items.
Eventually had an altercation with the senior staff. Instead of apologising for the 3rd class service, he told us that we should not make a big deal out of it. He started swearing and abusing. He even threatened us for physical harm if we didn't stop talking about his bad service in the restaurant.
Don't go there guys. Not worth a cent. There are couple of other restaurants on the same street which are much better than this one. I am sure this restaurant won't last long as its missing the basic hospitality princple, 'be humble to your customers'.

Great atmosphere! Very nice decor. Great food. Flexible and very accommodating staff. High standard establishment. This restaurant is much better than your average Indian restaurant.

Good portions, yummy food, well presented surrounding and the staff were very attentive. Naan breads were smaller than usual but still very nice. No complaints actually.

Disaster. That’s how I would describe my experience here.
Food took long time to arrive, considering there were very few people at that time, this should not be the case. Then wrong order served on the table, after some confusion the right one came.
Food turned out to be awful. The supposedly signature dish turned out to be terrible so did butter chicken. Worst were the naans and rotis, looked like made by somebody for the first time.
The whole ambience had a depressing feeling and so was body language of staff. Furniture had a worn out look. At first we thought of walking out but then stayed hoping that food would be good. Big mistake.
Don’t go by rating of 7.5 for this place and 7.7 for food as it looks like some fake feedback to deceive potential customers. This is nightmare on the wigram street. Avoid it.

We dined at Connaught Place last night and opted for the buffet as we had not eaten Indian food before so thought it was the best option for us. The food on offer was varied and in plentiful supply. We enjoyed the delicious food very much although it could have been a little hotter. The kitchen is visible from the setting area and we were able to watch the bread being made before being brought out to the table, so fresh and delicious..yum.
The staff were very humble and quietly spoken. We found them very attentive and only too happy to answer any question about the food. Our water glasses were constantly topped up without any prompting. The decore of the restaurant is wonderful and I can see us going there again in the near future.

Food is not bad but I will not recommend the butter chicken. Ambience is nice but service is extremely slow. Waiters are not particularly attentive.

Really, really bad behaviour! *shudder*. My sister took me there as treat on my birthday. We decided to go for buffet as that would give us a taste of everything. Food was Cold. Idli was not cooked. Taste was mediocre at best! We waited more than half an hour for a glass of water. And the place was not even half full. My poor sister was embarrassed, and she complained. The man from the kitchen came out and yelled at her and almost called her a liar. We got up, paid - only because we ate a bit while waiting for water, and left. We'll Never go back there again.
My sister then took me to Billu's across the street because the lunch was wasted and we needed some dessert. On learning it was my Birthday, they treated me to Ras-malai, which is my favourite sweet. They did not take money from my sister for my dessert. Learn to be friendly from them! Billu's restaurant is there, we don't have to go to such a bad place like Connaught Place any more.

I regret why I went to have my dinner here. I was very embarrassed in front of my own children. Food and service is not good here. Decor is still good but the food is not at all good.
