What an amazing night! we got Amex to get us a surprise booking for dinner our request was somewhere great! and did they come up trumps. Concrete Blonde is amazing! we started of with Beetroot and Goats Cheese and Kingfish Sashimi which was delightful and both of us couldn't go past the Pork Belly! Amazing and so tasty well presented and cooked to perfection.

The Staff attended to us perfectly. This is an eatery which we will be going back to time and time again well done Concrete Blonde you have got it spot on!

I love this place! great place for a nice dinner out with the girls! the interior is funky, situated just below hugos bar its a great place to dine before having a night out. I had the scallops and the lamb, however, was trying to ask the waiter to constantly refill our glasses.

The cocktails was as good! if you don't feel like eating then have their fab desserts and a glass of cocktail in their fire place area.

A great setting, and a great concept with share plates and a lot of meals involving their rotisserie meats. The decor of the place is great, very modern, Id recommend seating outside especially with its outdoor fireplace and dimmed lights.

I can't really speak much for service as the waiter we had was new that night, so any mishaps would be forgiven even though he meants quite well and was just nervous.

I'd definitely recommend trying their cocktails all of which were great, I had the lychee rose which was delicius, and the popping candy cocktail had a sense of fun to it.

We started off with a few small share plates, the KFQ deep fried quails were probably the highlight of the night, tender and moorish and perfectly spiced, their veal carpaccio however seemed slightly bland, but the raw scallop was fresh and had a beautiful clean flavor to it.

For mains we had the duck which was not dissimilar to pecking duck but perfectly cooked and very tasty, their suckling pig however was slightly disappointing for me as the stuffing had a strong spiciness to it which seemed to overtake the flavor of the pork and I wished the meat wouldve been more tender.

We ended off the night with a few desserts, the most memorable being the apple and rhubard crumble with burnt butter ice cream which was beautiful not only in presentation but in taste. Spent around $60pp though I would think it would probably cost slightly more than that seeing as the boys were completely full but was more than enough for me.

We shared scallop sashimi and veal carpaccio for entrée. Both dishes tasted great, fresh, with clean flavours. For the main course we shared half duck that was absolutely superb and ticked all the boxes and some great fries. For dessert I had chocolate and my husband chose crème brulee with fresh mango and lemon ice-cream, again excellent.

We loved the décor, very modern, sexy, with lots of textures all harmoniously working together to create a perfect ambience.

Quite simply, Amazing! The food, the ambience, the service, the music, all seriously outstanding. This has to be one of the best restaurants I have eaten at in a long time. From the moment we arrived, the scene was set with the outdoor fireplace on the casual al fresco terrace which was so relaxing to have our cocktails and "Izakaya". The Loli-Pork and KFQ (Kentucky Fried Quail) were an absolute taste sensation and complimented the cocktails perfectly.

We then moved inside for dinner and had a table with a full view of the chefs working on the spectacular BBQ's - great bit of theatre! We had the Globe artichoke with onsen egg which was the most amazing mix of flavours. (I used my spoon to finish every bit of sauce) and the Iki Jimi Ocean Trout with the quail egg and smoked butter crumbs. How does the chef do it? The flavours of the trout works perfectly with the egg and the butter crumbs.

For mains we had the Rib Eye that was grilled on the BBQ to perfection and served with Portobello mushrooms, Cafe de paris butter and a creamed spinach. This has to be the best grilled steak on the planet! We also had the Tinder Creek duck that was cooked over the coals on the spit. Omg, this was just sublime!

Sides were Rustic fries with home made green ketchup and Japanese Wafu Salad. Both excellent. Wine list is very, very good and we both had a glass of the house wine. Happy to see that the wine was poured from the bottle at the table so we know what we were getting. I wish more restaurants would do this, it really lifts the level of service.

We shared the Pear tatin and we were scraping the plate to get every little bit. Wish we had also ordered the frozen Yuzu Curd, but we had eaten our full.
The service was flawless and the staff were very attentive and friendly.
This restaurant should be commended on its originality and for taking the dining experience to the edge. We will definitely become regular diners at Concrete Blonde

Wow, what a menu! agonising to order. Finished up with the wagyu slices and the KF quail, both delicious. The shared chicken platter was amazing, with a sauce of cherries, rhubarb, pomegranate, every mouthful was different. Desserts and cheese were just as classy, the wines and cocktails top class as well as witty waiters. Top class, totally different, good value, cannot wait to return.

We ate at Concrete Blonde on Saturday night and were surprised with the excellent quality of the food. The servings were generous and good value for the price. I also like that it wasn't too noisy and the tables are placed far enough away so that you don't have to listen to the table next to you's conversation. Not surprise the restaurant was full, it has a great atmosphere. I had the 'gnocchetti' which was amazing, the meredith duck and the caramalised quinoa broccolini. Definitely going back.
