Was taken here recently for a work lunch. The staff are so friendly and helpful and the food was delicious. Much better than your average pub grub. Definitely deserving of their AHA award. Try the grazing plates, especially the chorizo and haloumi, yum!

We came here for dinner Saturday night on recommendation from a friend of ours. What a fantastic place. I had the pork belly and it was one of the tastiest dishes I have ever had, so tender and match perfectly with the caramel chili sauce. My partner had barramundi steamed in thai curry sauce another perfect meal. I have to agree with tastyreview, this is food you will pay double the price for in a fine dining restaurant and there are a lot of them that can learn from these guys.
The bar staff was very friendly and gave us a quick service every time we came to the bar. It is great to see a pub focussing so much on food and service instead of poker machines, loud music and young drunk people. Well done guys.

Came here for a quiet Sunday lunch with some mates and had the braised beef cheeks. Was thoroughly delighted, this dish easily matched dishes previously had at fine dining restaurants at least double the price! Marked as gluten-free, I overlooked that no bread or potatoes are served with the generous portion so would recommend the addition of one of these.
Waitstaff were attentive and friendly, although, perhaps, a bit too eager to clear tables even though there was plenty of space. Did not try a drink, thus the rating, but the complementary self-serve water was welcome.
Will be back for sure.

Was in the Commodore at the weekend and was blown away with the changes! Firstly the obvious renovations that make the commodore a very pleasant place to drink, secondly the food was great, having browsed the menu we decided to stay for food and were not disappointed. The servings were large but not at the expense of quality, the steak cooked to perfection and the side salad very nice, my friends were all very happy with their food and the service was unobtrusive. The bar staff looked after us fantastically, were very friendly and were more than happy to recommend wine to accompany the food. Noticed in the menu lots of great deals running and will be back to sample the cocktails on a Thursday night!

I came in last Wednesday night to catch up with some mates, and have a few beers. I haven't been here for 2 years, as the last time I was here the quality of food was not up to standard, and the service wasn't great. The first thing I had noticed when we walked in was that they had done a renovation, and now the commodore has a more classy feel and warm atmosphere. Noticing the classy change, we had decided to give the food another go for dinner and I could see a much better selection of food on the menu. The food came out and it looked amazing. We started off with some grazing plates which is new and a very good idea to share with friends or have as an entree, followed by a main. The food was excellent, definetly a level up from my last visit, my friends thought so also. The service was great, friendly and overall it was a good experience. My friends and I will definetly be back and spread the word that the commodore is a nice classy place to catch up for drinks and a good meal, Thanks

I came in for a Sunday lunch with my wife last week and I was really impressed! They've clearly done some work on the presentation of the place since I was last there, but more importantly, the quality of the food, drinks and service was outstanding. All the staff were really friendly and genuine which helped created a comfortable feel to the place. I was impressed, but the fact that you could impress my wife, clearly indicates a job well done guys - I'll definitely be back.

Haven't been here in over a year and what a difference! The place has been totally renovated and these old reviews don't do the place justice at all.
Came in for a couple of cheeky beers and ended us staying for dinner, food was seriously good. Don't know what they've done but the crowd is so much better than it used to be and the staff are now so friendly. Had a great time and will definitely be back - thanks.

Went in a couple of Friday's ago for a few drinks with some friends after not being there since last Summer.
Good to see they seem to have got rid of the senior staff who was a sleazy weasel. His service last time was creepy. Unfortunately, they've kept the lazy 'larger' senior staff who seems to do nothing other than puff out his chest and walk around.
The staff seem to have improved. Although they still favour talking behind the bar than serving, they were all pleasant once we got their attention. For some reason they had techno music playing making it really uncomfortable. Dinner was normal. A bit pricey but good portions. The place seems to be looking good although could use some dollars put into it.

Have not been here for a while but there has definitely been an improvement. Food was delicious and portions always on the large side. Had the pork belly which was beautiful. The wine list has recently been improved and great selection of beers. Great place for few beers and a catch up with friends. Staff were friendly and place appears to be under new management, definite improvement. Could do with a small renovation though as is looking a little tired.

Great place to go with friends at the weekend either for lunch or dinner, especially in the summer. Abit pricey but good portion sizes. Service is abit poor. Some of the bar staff are abit rude at times but in general I like the place.
