My wife and I have be going to the Colyton Hotel for dinner every thursday night for almost three months and found it very nice, but last night, terrible. We arrived, for the first time with a voucher, buy a main meal second one $5. I ordered my wifes dinner, baked salmon and mine, a Large schnitzel with a side order of 4 chicken wings. The order comes my wifes is fine, my schnitzel was small size and no chicken wings.

I go to the counter to complain and they say they missed the wings, which can happen, but said they would be along soon. Then I complained about the schnitzel being the wrong one and was told "Well you did only pay $5 for it" and was offered "something else" to make up. I was not very happy but took the garlic bread.

When the garlic bread arrived at the table it was Cold, only to be followed up by the missing chicken wings, which to be honest, you would not feed to a dog. They were very, very small as well as looking like they had been cooked three times and were very dry. All in all dinner was a disaster and to avoid it happening again I will not be back.

I love good pub food, and this place has awesome specials throughout the week. They have some of the best ribs I have ever had, their steaks are pretty good too and the prices are fantastic. Only downfall was the mushroom sauce, it was terrible. Apart from that the ribs were absolutely delicious!

Everyone was really happy with the food that we ordered. The menu has a good selection so there should be something to suit everyone. Quite good value.
The dining area was Ok and that is about it. Have been to other pubs with better eating areas. Has an indoor kids play area. I would go back.

To be honest I wasn't a fan of the colyton pub before the renovations it was a real westy dive. But now this place has been renovated really well, a kids fun room and stylish furniture and a very relaxing atmosphere. I have been to the Colyton hotel plenty of times since they have done it up.

They have changed the menu which now includes food for all taste you can have something as simple as a burger or something more complex as an indian curry. They offer great value kids meals and have special discount nights. The food is also very reasonable in price. The service is also very good.
