This place is a winner. I'm a local who walked past this place for years opting for either Giulia, Mattino or A Little On The Side for my weekend bacon and eggs. But this place has seriously great food, solid coffee and best of all great value.

In reply to Beatrix Kiddo, and as a long time regular customer, I feel compelled to respond. Firstly, flies are found everywhere, I've never noticed a problem at this cafe and as I work close by I am there several times a week. The coffee is $3 for a regular and the coffee cups are usual size. It's unfortunate you didn't have a meal as their food is always very tasty, large servings and extremely good value. They have also catered for my husband's birthday last month and their canapés are just delicious! Highly recommend both the cafe and catering!

Have to disagree with the last review being a regular, coffee is always excellent and the service usually quick and always friendly, must have caught them on a bad day. The food is good quality cafe fare and well priced, I recommend the turkishes and the chocolate brownies in particular. Parking is usually much easier than around Broadway too. Decor is a bit dated but the place is scrupulously clean.

I just had a meeting here, we only had coffee. The staff were very friendly and charming, the park outside would be handy if you have kids or dogs. However, there were flies on our table (we sat inside) and several buzzing around the interior of the cafe. To top it off our coffee was served luke warm, and served in insty bitsy cups, not worth the $8. Not going back.

This place is exactly what a cafe should be; Fast....Fresh....Friendly....Fun
The food is consistently fabulous and the staff are always friendly. I love that you can see the kitchen in action from the counter.

Try the Salmon Sandwich or the Mushroom, Cherry Tomato and Haloumi breakfast and the coffee. Oh the coffee!!

Wow! An absolute gem, but don't take my word for it. Just go and you won't be disappointed! The guy whose joint this is should be a Michelin stared chef; the use of fantastic ingredients is intelligent and inspired.

Admittedly some of the staff is not quite as competent, but still well above average. The food could be from some Circular Quay snob zone being served in pretentious surroundings for three times the price. So go before more people find it, he makes his millions and moves there!

I thought hard about adding this comment because we don't really want word to get out about this place - it's just too good. Ok it's a hole in the wall type of set-up but the food is fantastic, the best breakfast in Sydney and I kinda like the fact that you can sit out on the street and watch the real world - not the Eastern Suburbs 4WD style world - go by.

Try the haloumi, or the bacon and egg roll (on Turkish) or the muesli, or the pancakes or ... you won't be disappointed and you'll still be able to afford the home loan repayment!

The soups are consistently excellent, filling and top value. If the soup of the day doesn't appeal, the sandwiches are an excellent fallback -- particularly the lamb. Even better, the guys are willing to go "off the menu" if you aren't sure you want anything on the blackboard.

Service is friendly, if a bit vague. While the outide tables are a bit noisy, it means my dog can join me, and he is always made to feel welcome, as well.
