Came here to the Saloon Bar on Saturday night for a friend's birthday. Cocktails were great, staff attentive and fun. Music was killer, great funky vibes. Will definitely be back.

Great bar. Came here on a weeknight (thursday) and the place had a great feel, staff very friendly, and great funky tunes. Will definitely be back.

A couple of friends and I had lunch here because we love Greek food and were feeling nostalgic about our holidays in the Greek Islands. Apart from the Asian bar staff, who couldn't speak English (which is fine, except these two kept smirking), being charged double price for one Greek coffee because they can't make singles was the limit. We won't return.

This bar serves good Greek food during lunch. The food is very tasty. Spices are used thoroughly. Came here twice.

Went to a friends birthday here recently (initially in the downstairs bar). Loved it! They had a live band, which is alright, though too loud (you had to yell into your friends ears). Drink prices are on the expensive side, but this not an average pub. Don't know about the food, as I didn't have any. The street level bar is pretty cool, with some decent furnishings including long tables with stools, so all your friends can congregate at the one big table.

Sofas as well. Have been back on a weeknight and it was much quieter with a corporate crowd.

Food was beautful and service fine but the experience was marred by asking for a glass of sparkling at the beginning, not being shown a wine list, getting a glass of French champagne at $25 a glass. The next most expensive wine was $15 a glass -one third of the whole meal price was the two glasses of champagne at the outset. Small glasses too......maybe I need to get out more, but it really tainted my memory of the evening.

We came back and tried the place for the second time and found it absolutely amazing. The service was great, the menu has changed a little bit and the prices are very affordable. Generally I would recommend this place for some one who would like some no risk Greek food in the CBD without breaking the budget.

The food was very ordinary & the chef was absolutely vile - we asked what the dessert was on the $20 set menu & he said "what ever I give you" ... he was nasty to his staff as well ...

please note that this review was written when Deco at Civic was in operation. Civic Dining located on the first floor, with Head Chef Peter Conistis was recently awarded One Chef's Hat in the SMH Good Food Guide.
