Probably one of the worst pubs I've been to, this place was good before it was turned into Citymex! Warm taps, so warm beer.. dodgy wine thats more like a date rape drunk.. over priced and the service is shocking.. Will never go again!

I often have lunch at Citymex, its great and super cheap, you pay individually when you order your meal just like the bistro downstairs, this makes it so easy when you come with a work group. I have had lunch on a Friday and it is very slow, and I have seen people getting annoyed but this is not the fault of the staff, they go as fast as they can, I mean you try and serve 100 people in 1 hour, its impossible!!

So for the best Citymex experience go on any day but Friday and you will really enjoy yourself

The staff are just delicious. The food, phenomenal. Its like a taste explosion in my mouth. Kudos to the owner for such a divine dining venue.

The City Hotel is a good feed at a reasonable price. The food isn’t restaurant quality, more cafe style but for under $10 in the CBD you can’t argue.

I thought the days of getting a lunch meal for under $10 at a pub were over, especially in the CBD of Sydney. In Sydney most pubs have changed their menus, increased prices dramatically to a level where they compete with restaurants. The City Hotel isn’t like that. They cater towards people who want a good meal, good selection of beverages, good atmosphere and if you are a sports fan plenty of TV screens.

Don’t expect restaurant service because it is a pub.

They always have good drink deals during the week, Toss the Boss on Tuesday nights, pool tables, plenty of seating and the staff are pleasent. The Pokies seem to pay out more often than other venues also ! Great food and ultra fast service !
