I live in Balmain and have been to Circle heaps of times for brekkie and lunch. I love the ricotta hotcakes and all our friends agree they do the best poached eggs in Balmain! Also love their chai - it's fluffy and foamy with just the right blend of spices. It is a lovely place to snack and relax and catch up with friends, especially when the weather is good and you can find a table outside.

I love this place. I have been visiting here regularly since moving to Balmain and it has never disappointed. I love the chicken and leek crepes and the burger with the homemade mayo. You order at the counter but the service has never disappointed, for example my burger patty needed a tiny bit more cooking in the middle and they made me a complete new burger no questions asked. A new favorite.

Can't really rate this place on service as you order and pay at the counter - so no service... BUT the food is really yummy and the coffee is good. Dogs are welcome (always a good thing) and there is no attitude amongst the staff. I have done lunch here many times and will continue to do so.... it's well priced and wholesome.

Went here for Bastille Day dinner 8 of us looking forward to a great night in a French Restaurant. We will never return. We wrote a long letter to the Management and received a scathing reply.

Great cafe, excellent breakfasts especially the omelettes. Great coffee. Wonderful courtyard to sit in. Only downside is that it is closed on sundays, stops this place from being the complete package.

This has high quality food and the best coffee in Balmain. And a lovely place to sit in inside and out. A Very interesting mix of people. The lunch specials are excellent and the big breakfasts great value and great tasting.

After reading some of the reviews which suggest the coffee is great. Great coffee? You either dont drink coffee, or have no idea about what an espresso coffee is meant to taste like. The only thing worse than a bad coffee is having to then pay for it and I can say the food isnt any better than the coffee. As a coffee drinker I can honestly say the coffee in this place would have to be the worst I've drunk anywhere in the WORLD!!! You guys really need to get real. Invest in a decent machine and let your heads go and buy some decent beans. The food sucks and the coffee is crap.

Bella must have been there on a bad day. Circle has the best coffee in Balmain, lovely food and a beautiful garden to sit in. Plus interesting community arts feel about the place. Relaxing!
