I've been going to Cibo for the past 6-7 months. The food is fantastic, the service is always up to standard and the staff are wonderful. Favourite dish would be the risotto (with extra chilli). Great place to go for work lunches/meetings etc. Definitely a keeper!

I used to love going to Cibo for lunch, but since its changed hands, I went once for lunch and won't be going back. The pasta with prawns with garlic and chilli used to be great, now with pesto and who knows what else was flavourless.

Really amateur, hesitant and unhelpful service, but fantastic food and coffee. I recommend the Barramundi. Menu was short, but understandable for such a busy spot. Waiter and Waitress pretty clueless, they're lucky the Chef is obviously talented. I agree with the previous reviewer in saying they can't seem to pick cafe or restaurant for their form. Wine list very minimal, but again, fair enough for the spot.

This is probably one of the most overrated places I've ever been in. The service is great if you are one of their regulars, but woeful if you're not and I wasn't. The menu (if you can call it that) is very limiting and very boring. Wine by the glass v. overpriced. So all in all won't be back, there are many better cafes in Nth Syd.

Thank goodness Cibo is in north Sydney. I have been working here for 3 years and can't say that I have ever been disappointed with the food. Great risotto and prawn linguine. The guys do a great job in the kitchen. Service is good, but they do tend to get busy.

I've only been here for coffee, by the sound of the other reviews it seems their lunch offering is quite good, I will try that another time. The wait for a coffee at Cibo can be ridiculously long at times. Yes they tend to be quite busy, however, there are cafes far busier than them that serve takeaway coffee a lot faster!

Their good varies a great deal, some days you can get a very good one, other days it is downright mediocre, there is very little consistency, which is not good!
The ambience of the place is very dark, the cafe needs more light inside, it wouldn't be too hard to walk past and think they are closed, especially now that its winter and they close their doors, its good that it doesn't get so cold inside, but some lighter colours would be welcome.

Coffee is reasonably priced and Cibo doesn't charge extra for a strong which is great, however, given the long waiting times it is often better to go a bit further up the road and get the girls to make you a much quicker cup!

Beautful choices of Italian food and the chef know what hes doing, with passion and lovely presentation. I ate a real beautiful chicken parmigiana, and my partner loves the veal with artchokes and mash.....Love it.

Cafe is hopeless and I won't buy breakfast from here ever again. Served their banana bread with garlic butter on it! Complained the following day and they did it again! Anyone who pays this much attention to their customers doesn't deserve your business.

Amazing Prawn Linguine, great atmosphere, eloquent Italian waiters. They are very bold with their 5-choice menu scrawled on the black board in Italian. I'm keen to go back again to quell my curiosity from seeing some exquisite looking dishes not on the menu. Will be back, thanks for a fantastic experience guys!!

Cibo struggles figuring out if it is a cafe serving light meals or a restaurant (with limited menu and general choice). Just needs to make up its mind as it does a good job of the former but an ordinary job of the latter. Food was a little strange, why was the scallopini cold in winter and the polenta also. Choices were limited and relied upon the waiter's description as did the wine. Good location and modern feel albeit a bit crowded and noisy for my tastes. Service was patchy, tried hard but didn't quite hit the mark. Reasonable value. All the ingredients are there for a good addition to North Sydney's dining but just a bit more thought and consideration needed.
