This restaurant really isn't near my house but I find myself coming up with reasons to stop through. The food is way better than all of the Italian restaurants I've been to in Sydney. Obviously I haven't been to every one but a fair few.

The food isn't the same old standard Italian fare, it's not greasy and heavy, and you can taste the quality of all the ingredients that go into proper well-thought-out dishes. Quality tastes better. I had the lamb and shared a pizza. I'm not into sweets but the dessert I had was pretty awesome too! Totally impressed and the people in the area really are lucky. Even if you're not from the area check it out, I can't see how you'd be disappointed.

Ciao Bello is a new restaurant just up the road from me in Mascot and we have eaten there about 6 times already! The food is fabulous! The chef Nicola is really nice and his menu is amazing for a little bistro in Mascot. There is a great selection of dishes and it’s very reasonably priced. Mascot has needed another restaurant for a long time and this is it! It's in the Tennyson Hotel on Botany Road but you can walk into the bistro from the side on High St so you don't have to walk through the dodgy pub!

Once you're in the bistro you forget that you're even in the pub. I highly recommend you try this as the food is authentic Italian and different to anything else in this area. Yum!
