If you have ever been to a Brazilian Churrasco before you will know that this is not as good as others. Rather than slicing the meat fresh infront of you like a churrasco they actually brought it out pre-cut sitting in all its owns juices. Not what I was expecting. If you want a truly brazilian experience don't go here. It is also extremely cramped for its size. The wait staff were friendly but service a little slow.
From the moment we walked in we were made welcome. The different types of meat kept coming and it was just a pleasure to taste and enjoy the food. The food was delicious. Do try the sausages. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys meat.
We have been here many times, the staff are friendly and the food its outstanding, its definitely for the eyes are bigger than the belly people who like a good hearty meal. It's a little noisy and is always busy it's definitely worth booking in advance, even though most of the time they can fit you in if there is a small group or just two of you. I have never been disappointed, some nights there are more varieties on the menu than other nights.
This place is fantastic. Though is does get cramped it reminds me of the eateries in Brazil "fun fun fun". The food is amazing, I never knew meat could taste so good, but what really impressed me was the dessert I had the last time I was there, "papaya creme" my mouth is watering just thinking about it.
Enjoyed the all-you-can-eat meats, with so many different types of meat to sample! Service was excellent with frequent food stops and drinks brought to your table very quickly too. The only downsides are the noise factor (people are squished so it's very loud) and value ($35 covers the meats only and you must pay extra for salads). Overall a pleasant experience to be had, nice novelty.
Awesome food, price, service and were very willing to accommodate my gluten intolerance (coelic disease) letting me know what I could eat and what I couldn't,
been there several times and I'll definitely be heading back again.
I loved this place! The food is great and I love the idea of having the little tokens that have red for no more and green for yes please more! Service is great and have nothing to complain about! Will hopefully take mum there for Mothers Day!
I have been to a few churrasco, type restaurants and I have to say this one is by far the worst: The seating is by far the worst part about it. Completely uncomfortable and too close to other people not associated with you, so that you could easily knock elbows while eating. Imagine a space the width of a keyboard and that's the room you get per person.
They don't provide you with much sides/starters to accompany the meal. No proper salad or rice: just a few leaves of lettuce and half a sliced tomato for a salad and a couple dipping sauces. The meat, etc while it is great, is exactly the same as the other churrascos out there. Actually I would say you get less options less frequently than other places.
Sure the staff that serve you are young and attractive, but lets be honest, thats the only thing this place has going for it. I honestly thought I was the only one with a bad experience there but other friends have had the same dining experience.
I honestly wouldn't recommend it unless you are desperate for meat within the Coogee area.
My wife and I went to dinner here and its a cracker! Gorgeous people bringing the best cuts of perfect BBQ and grilled meat. Great stuff and a great location with a perfect venue and price. AAA+
This is my second time to this restaurant, the first time we had an amazing time, loved the ambience, the service etc.
This time, very very different experience. After being seated for 15 minutes, one of the 15 waiters decided to actually come and put plates infront of us. Then another 10-15 minutes pass, before any cuts of meat are placed infront of us, only after I raised my hand to get their attention (mind you, we were sitting in front of the grill area). After 30 minutes into the meal, did one of the waitresses offer us any drinks, and she tried to show me the wine menu on her PDA instead of getting the menu as requested. Also the side dishes had to be requested 30 minutes into being seated.
Overall, I love the meats here, but the service is disgusting. I'm not one to complain, but having to wait for so long to get a glass of wine, any food and side dishes was pathetic. There are so many waiters and waitresses, but whoever manages them should be shot, maybe they should designate one waiter to a section, instead of them all loitering around the place. Still, I love the ambience and the buzz in the place, but the service was a major let down.
