Second visit to Churrasco and I've increased the scores on the food from an 8 to 9, and increased the score for service from 7 to 9.
6pm dinner Australia Day. Service was organised, very friendly and courteous, and I loved those smiles! The girls even helped with choosing dessert. Great effort girls!
The food - succulent, tasty, plenty of variety, crunchy salads, and the meats really brought out the carnivore in me! It is really, really hard to stop one making a glutton of oneself!
Wash down the food with a refreshing Brazilian pilsener and cleanse the palate with a creamed papaya dessert!
I can't commend this place enough for the meat-eaters amongst us!
I went to this restaurant a few months ago with a group of friends for the first time. This place gets quite busy, so get there early or be prepared to wait. The atmosphere was great, tables widely spaced apart, modern deco seats mixed with 'rustic' sprawling tables.
The food itself was fantastic, everything cooked wonderfully, and the novelty of having "continuous table side service" is also quite enjoyable. Especially because you get to see the cut of meat before you taste it. As there is just a set price and you eat whatever you like, it becomes a case simply of how much you can eat. The range is somewhat limited obviously though to meat
The staff were also very amicable and did their best to interact with guests as much as possible, which seemed to allow patrons of all ages to enjoy themselves. Having said that, it was primarily occupied by "younger crowds" (below 40's). In summary it was a great night, with great food and a fun atmosphere
Last time I dined here was shortly after it opened. I was at the time disappointed that we were only offered bbq'd meat and preferred instead a similar restaurant over in Leichhardt.
Dropped into this place the other with my pal Jaaaard. There was a wider selection of well prepared and tasty meats offered in addition to bbq vegies, cheese and my favourite, pineapple. The service was very friendly and never stopped. Good value for $35 if you like meat. Ideal for a group as the place can get very noisy.
My opinion of Churrasco is probably different to others as I visited on a weeknight, early (6 pm). There was hardly anyone else in the place so the service was quick (pretty much constant). Pretty much everything I tried was delicious (only one or two were so-so). I did have to order a side salad to go with it all but it was huge, fresh and with a delicious light dressing. Would probably go back again but not keen on attempting it on a friday/saturday night.
Food is great, setting is great good value for money, but we had a booking for a table of 22 that had been made a month or so in advance. The service was disappointing! There was too much of the same meat coming to our table while others around us got the variety. My advice to you guys coming from someone who has worked in the industry and is married to a chef if you know a large group of people are coming assign at least 1-2 waitress to that table only!
Because it took us 3 hours to get a decent meal and we had to basically shout for your drinks and the maitre d' needs to do her job a bit better it was not that busy so there was no excuse. By the way this was the Woolloomooloo one.
I've been here a couple of times and I must say my most recent visit was not as pleasurable as my first visit. It seems the owners have put all their attention on their new venture in the city rather than making sure this one operates as good as it did when it first opened. $35 all you can eat meat is a great concept, although when my partner and myself arrived, we were served the cold meat that customers had already been served prior to us arriving.
Once we had been served the last round of meat, it was quite clear they were waiting for us to leave because we were sitting there for 15 minutes without being offered hot meat, instead being offered the mozzerella balls which generally means your time is up. Unfortunately, I won't be going back to Churrasco in a hurry.
Booked for 6 pm dinner on a sat night. No hassles. Food started as soon as we said go and didn't stop. Definitely a meat lovers heaven. Tip, don't start quickly. Take your time and enjoy the food. Great bustling joint.
All you can eat meat! Can't go wrong? Went here with a few mates on a sat night. It gets very busy so be sure to book. The place does get very noisy and be a little squashed but for a place like this it suits the theme.
Service is quite fast and attentive. Now as for the food, if you love meat it is the place for you. But the one thing I must say is that I think they really use too much salt in most of the meats, some to the point where that is all it tastes like. This may also be a different preference from each individual.
Overall, good value, service with decent food to match.
The meat here is good quality, cooked to perfection and has that delicious, smoky, BBQ flavour, and the restaurant has a great vibe. Novel dining experience with the all you can eat green/red cards to indicate to the waiter if you're still hungry or not, and service on giant skewers and carved at the table.
Meat is good and it comes in large quantities. The place is very noisy and the staff, although very friendly, happened to drop food on a friend's lap the two times I went there. Great place for meat lovers.
