I took two friends here on Saturday night and we ordered pasta and starters. We could only manage a few bites from each of three dishes and the two starters. So oily and no flavour. I live locally so its a shame. Staff were friendly though.

The local Red Treads (Red Cross) shop had our 2011 Xmas party at Christo's Five Ways Pizzeria. Twelve ladies started at 7 pm and finished near midnight! The ambience was fun with the staff joining in with our celebrations ( a number of fine dancers among them)! The food was just right for a large group and the service could not have been better. Some ladies even enjoying the half price cocktails - a Thursday night special. So if you have a group large or small and you want value for money Christos is the place to go. Thanks to the staff for making the night so memorable. We cannot wait until the next excuse to visit for a fab time!

I have been getting takeaway here on and off for a few years and thought nothing of it. I then went back to Italy recently and ate great pizza after not having been there for a while, eating Christos after that was like munching on tasteless cardboard. 20 bucks for a pizza is standard, though it shouldn't be, I knock up better pizza at home for next to nothing. 11 dollars for a salad? Come on guys?

In short, last night was the last time I will go there, Sydney siders need to start voting with their feet else all restaurants will believe that 30 to 40 dollars a head for substandard food is "ok". Demand more.

I live only 5 minutes walk from here and this was my first time.

Service was good, however, booked online two days before and got a email confirmation but when we arrived there was no booking.

The ambience is bad you would not know its italian beside some pizza bases on the wall. I think they cater more for kids between 8 and 15 for family cafe style. Seating is terrible, seats are uncomfortable and tables are small especially if ordering pizza what were they thinking?

The food was just ok but I have had better. I would not go back only because there is better choices around.

Even though my husband and I live in the area we have never tried this restaurant so when our friend wanted to catch up here, we were keen. Place was busy on a Friday night, with people coming in for pizza and pasta even at around 10 pm! We had a large Greek salad to share, I had their spaghetti marinara and pizzas were shared. Pasta was a bit dry but decent servings while the pizza were on thin crispy bases so you can taste the flavors of the toppings. For a busy restaurant, service was friendly and it's BYO at $4 per person.

Christo's atmosphere, food and wine are a great place start and finish any night. Family, group and couple friendly even just passing by. Everyone is welcome. The service is great. From the cozy lounge bar ambience, to the bustling, buzzing restaurant floor. Delicious gourmet and traditional pizza's for all. Even the occasional kitchen mishap is entertaining. A good night doesn't have to be perfect. We'll be back for more. And then there's cocktail night!

What a Five Ways instutition. With great service and food, Christo's is a winner when it comes to Pizza in the eastern suburbs. Peter and his crew do a great job, is it any wonder they have been here for two generations.

With so many new places popping up around Sydney its great to be able to come back to Christos for tasty pizza and pasta. In the heart of bustling Five Ways, it also gives you plenty to look at. Although the inside had a great ambience, we preferred sitting outside and watching Paddington go by. Its a big mix of people from jeans to party frocks. Come early and you get more of a family set, we got there a little later at 830 and the place was full, if there are no tables they have a great little bar and the barman knows how to mix a cocktail too.

The food was tasty and unpretentious and someone has obviously put some thought into the wines. If you want your pizza full of junk go somewhere else, these guys served up delicious healthy toppings in the right portions. Getting it right is obviously a passion for these guys, definitely worth a visit.

Well I got to say this. I've eaten at many places in the city, and eastern suburbs, but this place has just given me and our freinds a new beginning of what true food, beverage and service is. "We loved it" the food was no doubt presented with care and detailed very fresh and tasty the quality was right for the price and quantity was on the money.

The pizzaz (fantastic) outstanding for it's value, we must say. The best part of our eating frenzy at this trendy place is the people you're rubbing shoulders with (celebs known personalities popin in for a huge feast) real nice to be dining with these people. The decor of this place is "fresh" real lay back and just take your time, love the the music too. Not too loud just right. I have to through this in, woo hoo loved the cocktail bar and the service was spot on there as well, some amazing cocktails and beverages there "ya gotta be dare'n go for it its "great".

Over all the whole setup and the involvement of management overseeing that were having a great time and making sure that the service and food was perfect made us feel right at home here you gotta have time to sit back, have some wine, relax and enjoy this amazing place for us were going back again and again. Just the perfect spot. Loved it! Cheers to Christo's

The food here is great, it always has been and always will be, however, I have to agree with some of the other reviewers here, the staff can be very rude, unapologetic when things go wrong. Pricey doesn't really cover it, it's expensive, check your bill to ensure it is correct. Christo's, you can pick your act up, things used to be much better!
